From Patsie Blanchette – The Party Lady

Hi Everyone, Hope you are all ready for summer to be over and starting to think about all of the upcoming holidays--especially our party at the Dec. 5 meeting. I'll be meeting with my Christmas committee soon to plan our strategy for having a fun, festive time and hope to have more details at our Oct. meeting. I will also have a sign-up sheet for our dinner tickets then. They will still be $10 for members, which will be refunded when you present your ticket at the party. The money for no-shows will be donated to the Guild. Guests will be $15, which is non-refundable.

From Marsha Fuller – The Money-Maker I’m sorry more of you were not at last month’s meeting - see, that way we possibly would have had more lottery blocks to share and donate to the auction. As it was, we received 16 for the auction and the lucky winner of the drawing got 15 blocks. Oh, the winner – was Debra Caldwell again. Do you see a trend? Actually, there is no trend, it’s just a matter of odds. The more you make, the more chances you have of winning. SO, why don’t you get rejuvenated and look at this month’s block. It’s a big one and very easy to make! All the star points are floating so you don’t have to worry about cutting them off or any of that hooey!
