rested by theKwaDukuza FamilyViolence,Child Protec-tion and Sexual Of-fences Unit (FCS) lastTuesday for allegedlyrepeatedly raping his13-year-old niece,who is now pregnant.

According to thegirl’s mother, whoseidentity is being with-held to protect thechild, her brother had

been raping the childsince last year.

The incident cameto light two weeks agowhen the victim’smother became wor-ried that her daughtermissed her monthlymenstruation.

Thevictim’smotheraskedhersister-in-law(the suspect’s wife)who was on her wayto thenearbyGlenhillsClinic for her monthlypre-natal check-up, tocheckwhatwas wrongwith her daughter.

As soon as the suspectwas arrest-ed thevictim’smother saidher sister-in-law asked her to move out of thehouse with her children.

“I told her that this was not herhouse and it belonged to my father,she then told me that “your motherasked you to move out”.

“I had no choice, but to move outwith my three daughters,” she said.

The victim is currently beinghelped by the social workers of ChildWelfare SA-KwaDukuza.

“When my husband died in De-cember 2010 in a drowning incidentat thePrince’sGrant,mychildrenandImoved inwithmy father in the samehouse with the suspect and his wife.

“However, my world came crum-bling down on me when my fatherpassedon in2012. Iwas forced to livewith my brother and mother.”

The victim’s mother reported theincident to the KwaDukuza SAPS onTuesday last week. The suspect wasarrested the same day.

baby as if it were mine.“Then after a few weeks, I should

Sibhidla-Saphetha visited the ar-ea with the mayor as part of prov-ince’s opening functionality moni-toring programme.

She said although some schoolsbegan their classes late because ofthe late registration of pupils, shewas pleased that learning began onthe first day.

Her visit began at ShakaskraalSecondary School in KwaDukuzawhich obtained over 80% matricpass rate in 2013.

“The MEC was upbeat that thelearning material arrived on time atthe school and learning began on thefirst day.”

The school still faced problems ofpupils arriving late, as it mainlyserved disadvantaged communities

and many pupils had to travel longdistances to get to the school.

“The MEC has assured the schoolthat all the challenges that have beenraised will be addressed because al-ready the department of educationhas a scholar transport programmein place,” said the MEC.

She also commended the educa-tion department in the province forensuring learning material arriveson time in all schools in the district,”she said.

She appealed to parents to ensurepupils arrive on time at school andstick to registration dates.

The MEC’s visit ended at Madlan-ga High School in Mandeni whichgot a 21% matric pass rate last year.

She will meet with educationstakeholders to discuss ways of as-sisting local struggling schools.

Sunny Park fisherman drowns>> Rescue personnel still search for missing man

SUNNY Park resident, Ricky Nai-doo (45), an avid fisherman,drownedatChannelRockfishing

spot on Blythedale Beach after an all-night fishing expedition on Sundaymorning.

Reports indicate that Naidoo, whowas accompanied by four longtimefriends, hadcaughta fishandwhileheattempted to reel it in, his line wascaught on the rocks.Otherfishermenonthebeachappar-

ently saw Naidoo walk down into thechannel in an attempt to free his lineand lost sight of him when a wavewashed over him.

KwaDukuza life guards, the SaltRock Life guard, the Specialised Res-

cue Unit and Rapid Care were amongthose who searched for Naidoo.

Therescueteamssearchedtheareauntilnightfall,all thewaypassPrince’sGrant, with no sign of thebody.

The search continued on MondayandTuesdayandwasnot recoveredattime of going to press.

Distraught family and friends arestill on the rocks continuing the vigil.

In another incident, a 28-year-oldman drowned at Salmon Bay inBallito.

According to witnesses, the un-identified Shakashead resident wasswept out to sea in a rip current ataround 2.40pm.

Rescue teams search for the bodyhas so far been unsuccessful.

Councillor calls for campaign towarn pupils of river dangers>> “People are drowning in that river every year.”

THE discovery of the bodiesof two friends whodrowned in theTugelaRiv-

er on Wednesday 8 January hassparkedanawareness campaignto warn pupils of the dangers ofswimming in rivers.

Apparently therehavereportsofacrocodilesightingattheTuge-la River.

The body of Nhlanhla Ntuli(11) was found last Friday withoneofhislegsmissing. VusumuziMdlalose, 12, was found on Sat-urday.

The pair had apparently been

swimming with two otherfriends. The boys drowned in astretch of the river at BulwerFarm where there had been re-ports of crocodiles.

Local councillor SaneleMfekasaid that a campaign should beheld at schools to raise aware-ness among children about thedangers of swimming in rivers.

“People are drowning in thatriver every year,” he said.

“We can’t blame the govern-ment because even if we fencethat river, people will steal thefencebecausethatisabushyareaand there are no people stayingby the river to safeguard it.”

NYONI police are searching fortwo suspects who are wantedfor the murder of three men

and attempted murders which oc-curred in the area on Saturday 18January.

According to police three men,aged between 20 and 28, were at-tacked and fatally shot while theywere at a house party.

Fourotherpeoplewhowereat thehouse were injured in the attack andtaken to hospital for medical atten-tion. It is alleged that the three de-

ceased men were wanted for anumber of murder cases and armedrobbery committed in the area.

Twoof thedeceasedmenwereouton bail and were due to appear incourt next month facing murdercharges. It is further alleged thatthese men fled the area as they were

wanted by police in connection withmurders cases.

Police confirmed that the three in-jured people were not part of thegroup that was killed.

EXTENSIVE investigation by the UmhlaliK9 Unit led to the arrest of seven wantedsuspects in the south of Durban.

Five suspects were arrested in UmlaziandwerefoundinpossessionofaFortFies­ta suspected to be used as a getaway vehi­cle from a crime scene.

They were charged with business rob­bery. The unit then proceeded to Creighton

where they arrested a sixth suspect whowas found in possession of 10 slopes ofdagga and he was charged accordingly.

The last suspect was also found in pos­session of 7.65 pistol in the same area andwas charged with possession of an unli­censed firearm.

All seven suspects, aged between 20and 40, appeared in the Ixopo Magistrate’sCourt.

All the suspects were remanded in cus­

tody for further investigations.The men robbed the Creighton Hotel on

17 December.A 31­year­old woman was closing up

when she was approached by four armedsuspects.

It is alleged that they held her at gun­point and demanded cash from the safe.They took an undisclosed amount of cashand liquor before they fled the scene intheir getaway vehicle.

A case of business robbery was openedat Creighton police station for further in­vestigation.

The victim was not hurt during the rob­bery.

Cluster Commander, Brigadier DerekCaptain Hastibeer commended police andsecurity officials for their investigation andswift action that led to the arrest of thesuspects.

KWAZULU-NATAL Education ministerPeggy Nkonyeni sent a warning to un-der-performing principles and teachers

at a visit to Shakaskraal Secondary School lastweek.

“Wewill not tolerate lethargy and incompe-tence. People who aremisfits in our educationsystemmust either show their interest to learnor voluntarily leave - orwewill push themout,”she said.

She said that the department will be payingparticularattentiontothoseschoolswithapassrate of under35% andwill hold staff accounta-ble bymaking use of the SouthAfrican SchoolsAct said the minister.

In the department’s technical report on thematric results, there are83 schoolswithapassrate of below 35%.

ElaboratingontheMEC’sstatement,headofdepartmentNkosinathi Sishi said according tothe act the principal of a poorly performingschool may be compelled to present him witha turnaround strategy.

“Failing which the principal may be ren-dered incapable.

“The schools that achievedpass rates of un-der35%havealreadybeenissuedwith letters,”he said.

He said further action will be taken if theprincipal concerned is not able to provide agood explanation, but Sishi did not confirm ifthis includes suspension or axing.

Hesaidthatthisyearthedepartmentwillap-point more subject advisors and more circuitmanagers.

“We will work better with the teachers’ un-ions, to have 201 school days free of problems.Wewill just arrive at schools and say: ‘last yearyou got an 80% pass rate.

This year youwill get 100%.Tell us howyouwill do it.’Wewill ask to see their plan of actionin writing.”

According to Sishi department officials willbe paying more visits to schools than before.

They will be doing this to support teachersand principals as best they could.

TWO suspects were ar­rested for business rob­bery that occurred atthe Market Health Carein the Market Plaza.

The suspects willappear in theKwaDukuza Magis­trate’s Court facingcharges of robbery andpossession of unli­censedfirearmandam­munition.

It’s alleged that thepharmacy had justopened for businesswhen five men enteredthe shop, posed as cus­tomers and afterwardsheld the owner at gun­point demanding cash.

They managed toflee, but the shoppingcomplex securityguards apprehendedoneofthesuspects.Po­lice arrested the secondsuspect in the vicinity.

Investigations areunderway to establishif the suspects are notwanted for any otherrobberies in the area.

And if you are a non-drinker, likeme, your only escape from the plightof padding some capitalist’s puffywallet is probably books, the gardenor television, because smash-and-grabs are simply not profitable any-more.

Once you’ve read your book quotaand realised your plants are happier

without your rendition of Jimi Hen-drixhits, the only place youare likelyto find any solace may be in front ofthe television.

And it is here where you will no-doubt partake in randomand seem-ingly endless channel flicking in thehopes of finding something, any-thing, which does not resemble abig, steaming cow-poo.

Avoiding the excrement has be-come an increasingly difficult task,given that pay-TV in particular ap-pears to have a fetish forbullsh*t.

This ismostnoticeable intheir‘re-ality’ offerings, with one of the moreperplexing in this genre being any-

thing to do with the paranormal.Haunted houses, possessed peo-

pleanddemonicdachshunds– throwthe word ‘paranormal’ or ‘psychic’into the mix and you are sure tohave a salivating audienceofmentalmidgets waiting to be astounded byhowintense the latest episode ofPsy­chic Potato Pickers is.

I stumbled on such a programmeover theweekendwhiledoingabelu-ga-whale impersonation on thecouch.

Such was my horror at the sup­posed horror I should have felt thatwaves of paranoia engulfed me. If Iwatched the entire episode, wouldmy frontal lobe be rendered as bar-

renasthewombofabiblicalheroine?I watched, I yawned, I ate, I

yawned, I frowned, I yawned, Istrummed my air-guitar, I yawned.

I finally reached the end of theprogramme and felt chills scuttle upand down my spine as it became ap-parent that there was another epi-sode after that, and another.

It was a supernatural omnibusworthy of a Stephen King wet-dream.

Now, as you will know, gentlereader, televisionofferingsof thepar-anormal are made to formula, as iseverything that carries a ‘reality’label.

And that paranormal formula

will, at some point, include a shakyhand-held camera,night-visionvide-oing, faint groaning (often from theaudience), a team of hunters-of-the-supernatural and more indecipher-able syllables than a drunk teenager.

Those unintelligible noises willsound like static to you and me, butto the telekinetic-wannabes hiredfor the show, translation is easywhen using something akin to awalkie-talkie, connected to a 1995Blaupunkt stereo, connected to anegg-beater, connected todisco lights.

Thus while you and I will hearstatic, the telekinetic-gurus will hear“Leave this house now or die weakhuman scum”.

Imust confess that Iwas unable todecipher thesoundtothisextentdur-ing the omnibus,withmy translationcoming out as “Your nipple is on firein the apple orchard bran muffin”.

This, I think, is proof that if myhome is to be haunted one day, itwill bebyapervertwitha faulty colonwho desires fibre-rich foods.

My story, I believe, will make arivetingreality show,which Dstv willno doubt snap-up and snuggle be-tweenPsychic CEOs andParanormalPawn Stars.

The union is rejecting the gold sec-tor’s wage offer increase of eight percent.

The union isdemandingaR12500monthlywage forunderground work-ers and R11 500 for surface employ-ers.

The union boss seems to beunderpressure from his members, withsome threatening to break-away and

form their own union.There have been allegations by

Impending strike action by Amcuwill put even more pressure on ourcurrency as investors scramble to

withdraw their investments and lookat more stable markets.

Any further depreciation of therand will warrant intervention fromthereservebanktoprotectourcurren-cy. The downward spiral of the randhas a knock-on effect on prices,whichfurther puts pressure on the poor toeke out a living. Can other dead-lockmechanismsbeused toavert strikeac-tion?

An amicable agreement favouringboth parties needs to be negotiated,but is this possible?

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Strike at the rand’s peril

WATCHING news reports and reading storiesabout matric caused a time of reflection forme last week.

I completed my schooling life in the early

90s and it seems like I schooled in anothercountry.

Firstly, the requirements and pass rateswereextremelyhigh,whichisnotabadthingconsidering we were about to be unleashedinto the working world.

Secondly ­ the feeling of seeing yourname in the paper meant you passed andcould enter tertiary education because itmeant you received good marks.

Today, you need thirty per cent to pass,which means you could get an E aggregate.

Pupils don’t have a high target to aim for

and yet it is still a challenge to achieve.This was unheard of in the 90s.I am extremely grateful to have complet­

ed my schooling then.However I would like to write one of the

matric papers to see if I would have passedwith straight A’s if I wrote in the exam in thisdecade.

It scares me because these pupils areprobably not ready for the next stage in theirlives. Matric is the tip of the iceberg.

sector at the end of 1997 ending fiveyears as principal at Tugela Second-ary and a 37 year career in teaching.

Teacher Indran Pather, whoservedunderSewlal'sleadership,de-

scribed him as an honest man and afantastic person to work with.

“Hewas integrity personified, youcould trust him with anything,” hesaid.“Hewasamanofvisionandper-sistence and incredibly cautious.Sewlalwasadedicatedman,not onlyto his school and pupils, but to the lo-cal community as well.

Sewlal started teachingasa locumtenens in 1959 at Hillside PrimarySchool inMerebankinDurban,ayear

after hematriculated at Stanger Sec-ondary School.

While employed he enrolled forPost Matric Studies with UNISA. Hecompleted his BA, BAHons andBEDdegrees. In 1963, Sewlal completedhis University Education Diploma.His first appointment was at StangerSecondary School in 1994, where hetaught for 24 years. In 1985 he wasappointedheadof thehistorydepart-ment at Stanger Manor Secondary.

Threeyears laterhewaspromoted todeputyprincipalatRichardsBaySec-ondary. He was later transferred toTongaat Secondary. In 1992, SewlalservedasactingprincipalatIsinembeSecondary. In 1993, he was appoint-ed senior deputy principal at Tugela

Secondary, but was seconded as act-ingprincipalatDarnall Secondary. In1992, Sewlal was appointed princi-pal of Tugela Secondary School.

He leaves behind his wife, Myna,childrenNerina,YadhyaandSantoshand a host of family and friends.

THE Ballito Council Chambers are fi­nally getting a much­needed re­vamp.

This project has been on the agendaand suggested by rate payers for manyyears now.

KwaDukuza Municipality spokesmanSifiso Zulu said the progress to date in­cludes the appointment of a contractor,

who has commenced with work.The contract period is six months. He

said the vehicle licensing section, finance,building control and town planning haverecently been relocated from the BallitoCouncilblocktotheSaltRockMunicipalof­fices to accommodate this.

Residents needing to make use of anyof these departments must go to the SaltRock offices next to the library until furthernotice.

These divisions were off line for a fewdays due to 'initial problems with the net­work cables being stolen and damaged on

two occasions'.“But this has been sorted out and all

is up and running at the moment. We arestill experiencing some challenges withTelkom for the installation of the tele­phone lines which will be fixed shortly,”said Zulu.

The 'serious upgrade work that neededurgent attention' at the Ballito offices in­cludes:removaloftheroofabovetheexist­ing first floor; removal existing roof sheets,trusses, purlins and ceiling.

Once complete, contractors will installa new roof and ceiling. The roof above rear

sectionofgroundfloor willundergoremov­al of existing roof sheets, trusses, purlins

and ceiling. A concrete roof slab will thenbe built to act as a future floor slab.

Work has started on the Ballito Council Chamber upgrade.

TO: The Owner(s) (within the meaning of that term as defined in Section 1 of theExpropriation Act) of the properties (all of KWA-NYATHIKAZI, KWA-DUKUZAMUNICIPALITY, IN THE ILEMBE DISTRICT, REGISTRATION DIVISION FU,PROVINCE OF KWAZULU-NATAL) described in the Schedule hereto, and whichexpression includes, but is not limited to the Trustee or Liquidator in the InsolventEstate of theOwner, theExecutor in theEstate of aDeceasedOwner, or if theOwnerof the property is under legal disability, his / her legal representative and includesthe authorized representative of theOwner in theRepublic of SouthAfrica.

AND TO: All other persons claiming any right to or interest in the properties (all of KWA-NYATHIKAZI, KWA-DUKUZA MUNICIPALITY, IN THE ILEMBE DISTRICT,REGISTRATION DIVISION FU, PROVINCE OF KWAZULU-NATAL) described in theSchedule hereto, whether by virtue of registration or otherwise, and particularlyany lessee, buyer or builder contemplated in terms of Section 9(1)(d) of theExpropriationAct.

EXPROPRIATION OF LAND AND SERVITUDE RIGHTS

1. PLEASETAKENOTICE that theMunicipality in terms of the powers vested in it by Section 25(2) and Section 156 (1) (b) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, Section9(3)(a) of theHousingAct, 1977 (ActNumber 63 of 1997) readwith and in termsof Sections 1, 6to 15 and 18 to 23 of the Expropriation Act, 1975 (Act Number 63 of 1975) and in terms of thepowers vested in it in terms of the provisions of Section 190 (1) of the Local AuthoritiesOrdinance Number 25 of 1974, hereby expropriates, for public purposes in general with thespecific purpose of providing and delivering housing, the land and/or right(s) described in theSchedule hereto togetherwith all improvements.

th2. The date of expropriation shall be 24 JANUARY 2014 from which date, ownership of the said

landwill pass to theMunicipality and/or the said rightswill vest in theMunicipality

th3. The Municipality shall take possession of the said land on 24 JANUARY 2014 or such other

date as may be agreed upon between the Owner(s) and the Municipality in terms of Section8(3) of the ExpropriationAct, or a date determined in terms of the provisions of Section 8(5) oftheExpropriationAct, as the casemaybe.

4. Where land is expropriated, with effect from the date of possession of the land by theMunicipality, but not before such date, the Owner(s) will be relieved of the obligation to takecare of andmaintain the land and to pay taxes and other charges thereon, andwill no longer beentitled to the use of any income from the land.

5. Your attention is directed to the provisions of Section 9(1), 12(3)(a)(ii), 12(4) and 13(3) of theExpropriationAct, which reads as follows:

"9. Duties of owner of property expropriated or which is to be used by (the Municipality). – (1) Anowner whose property has been expropriated in terms of this Act, shall, within sixty days fromthe date of notice…., deliver or cause to be delivered to the (Municipality) a written statementindicating-

(a) if any compensation was in the notice of expropriation offered for such property,whether or not he accepts the compensation and, if he does not accept it, the amountclaimed by him as compensation and how much of that amount represents each of therespective amounts contemplated in section 12(1)(a)(i) and (ii) or (b) and full particularsas to howsuch amounts aremadeup;

(b) if no such compensation was so offered, the amount claimed as compensation by himand how much of the amount represents each of the respective amounts contemplatedin section 12(1)(a)(i) and (ii) or (b) and full particulars as to how such amounts are madeup;

(c) if the property expropriated is land and any amount is claimed in terms of paragraph (a)or (b), full particulars of all improvements thereon which, in the opinion of the owner,affect the values of such land;

(d) if the property being expropriated is land-

(i) which prior to the date of noticewas leased as awhole or in part by unregistered lease, thename and writing or full particulars of the lease, the name and address of the lessee, andaccompanied by the lease or a certified copy hereof, if it is not inwriting:

(ii) which, prior to the date of notice, was sold by the owner, the name and address of thebuyer, and accompanied by the contract of purchase ad sale or a certified copy thereof.

(ii) on which building has been erectedwhich is subject to a builder’s lien by virtue of a writtenbuilding contract, the name and address of the builder, and accompanied by the buildingcontract or a certified copy thereof.

(e) the address to or at which the owner desires that further documents in connection with theexpropriation may be posted or delivered or tendered. Provided that the (Municipality) may at(its)discretion extend the said period of sixty days, and that, if the owner requests the(Municipality) in writing within thirty days as from the date of notice to extend the said period ofsixty days, the (Municipality) shall extend such period by a further sixty days.”

“12. Basis onwhich compensation is to be determined-

(1) …………….(2) …………….(3) (a) Interest at the standard interest rate determined in terms of Section 28(1) of theExchequer andAudit Act, 1975 (Act No. 56 of 1975), shall, subject to the provisions of subsection(4), be payable from the date on which the Municipality takes possession of the property inquestion in terms of Section 8(3) or (5) on any outstanding portion of the amount of compensationpayable in accordancewith subsection (1):

Provided that –(i) ………….(ii) If the owner fails to comply with the provisions of Section 9(1) within the appropriate

period referred to in the said section, the amount so payable shall during the period of suchfailure and for the purpose of the payment of interest be deemed not to be an outstandingamount.

(4) If the owner of property which has been expropriated occupies or utilized or any portion thereof,no interest shall, in respect of the period during which he so occupies or utilizes it, be paid interms if subsection (3) on so much of the outstanding amount as, in the opinion of the(Municipality), relates to the property so occupied or utilized.”

“13. Payment of compensation in respect of rights of unregistered leases in respect of propertyexpropriated –(3) If the owner of expropriated property fails to comply with a the provisions of Section 9(1) (d)(1)

and the (Municipality) did not prior to the payment of any compensation money to the ownerbecome aware of the existence of the lease in respect of such property the (Municipality) shallnot be obliged to pay compensation to the lessee concerned in respect of the termination of hisrights, but such owner shall be liable to any such lessee for damages sustained by him inconsequence of the termination of his rights.”

6. Your attention is directed to the provisions of Section 20 of theExpropriationAct, which readsas follows:

“20. Payment of certain taxes and othermoneys out of compensationmonies –(1) If any land which has been expropriated is situated within the area of jurisdiction of alocal authority, such local authority shall upon receipt or publication of a relevant notice interms of section 7, forthwith inform the (Municipality) in writing) of any outstanding tax orother moneys in respect of the payment of which the production of a receipt or certificate is interms of any law prerequisite for the passing of a transfer of such land by aRegistrar ofDeeds.

(2) The (Municipality) may utilise so much of the compensation money in question as isnecessary for the payment on behalf of the owner of such land of any tax or other moneysmentioned in subsection (1).”

7. If the title deed to the land is not in the possession or under the control of the Owner(s), you arefurther requested in terms of Section 9(3)(a) of the ExpropriationAct to provide within sixty daysof the date of this notice written particulars of the name and address of the person in whosepossession or underwhose control is.

8. All responses in terms of this Notice of Expropriation must be addressed to the MunicipalManager at the address indicated hereunder:

On Saturday they trounced Ma-phumulo by 60-runs in a Twenty-20League game played at the GledhowGround and twenty-four hours later(on Sunday) they walloped Mandeniby118-runsinthedomestic50-OversLeaguegameplayedat the sameven-ue.

In the match on Saturday, War-riors batted first and posted 97/8 intheir allotted 20 overs.MartinNaick-er (19) was the top scorer for War-riors.M.Mchunu((2/14from4overs)and M. Ntuli (2/17 from 4 overs)claimed 2-wickets each.

Athletes readyfor action atUAE marathon>> KwaDukuza duo anticipate great results at Dubai event

KWADUKUZA Athletic Club(KDAC) duo, Basil Naidoo andYathin Narothum will partici-

pate in the 42,2kmDubaiMarathon tobe held on January 24.

Naidoo started his illustrious run-ning career in 1998 and was inspiredto tackle theComradesMarathonfromPietermaritzburg to Durban afterwatching the race on television for anumber of years. After an intensivetrainingprogramme,hecompletedhisfirst Comrades Marathon in 2004 in arespectable time of 10:20.

After finishing his first ComradesMarathonthere’sbeennoturningbackfor Naidoo who completed 10 mara-thons to earn his green number.

Naidoo has a wealth of experiencehaving completed seven Two OceansMarathon in the mother city (CapeTown) and almost fifty marathons(42,2km) throughout KwaZulu-Natal.His best time in the TwoOceansMara-thon (56km) is 5:42.

Naidoo served as a mentor toNarothum, who encouraged him toparticipate in the Comrades Mara-thon. Narothum has completed sixComradesMarathonandisyearningtosecure a green number before the endof 2020. His personal best was 11:40in 2012.

Narothum made his debut in theTwoOceansMarathonin2012andfin-ished the race in a time of 6:45.

Marathonin2016.Theywereinanup-beatmoodbefore jettingof toDubaionMonday and were looking forward tohoisting the KDAC flag high in theDubai Marathon on Friday.

Rocky Park came into the gameboasting a four-match unbeaten re-cordandwerehoping to kickoff theircampaign in the new year on a win-ning note.

They should have opened theiraccountasearlyasthefifthminuteaf-ter Khulekhani Zuma received a pre-cision-timed through ball from Lin-dokuhle Zulu, but his (Zuma) tame

shot failed to trouble the Mavusanakeeper.

Inthe15thminuteRockyParkwerecaught ball watching after JacksonMojapelo andThabani Shabetewereinvolved in some neat exchange ofpasses, before Shabete’s raspingdrive from just outside the box foundthe right-hand top corner of the netto give Mavusana a 1-0 lead.
