RESISTANCE TESTSLIPPI carries out and openly gives results for the resistance tests for

its welded panels, posts and sports equipments. The engineering office cantherefore simulate the installation of the products taking into account all theparameters (fence height, resistance of the various parts, snow and wind area...) and recommend a resistant and durable solution to the client.

LONG LIFE TECHNOLOGYThis is a state-of-the-art coating technology used for all

our Aquilon® PREMIUM welded panels, whatever the colour. Afirst coat is applied onto the galvanised panels for its anti-corrosive properties, then a second finishing coat with a good resistance to sun damage (UVA and UVB). This improves the resistance to corrosion and guaranteesthe product's aesthetics. Double plastic coating

offers physicochemical features which cannot be obtained with only one coat.

Double plastic coating on galvanised wire offers a resistance to corrosion of2,000 hours minimum under salt spray.

This process and the quality of our coating enable us to offer a 10-year warrantyagainst corrosion thanks to the Corporate warranty(1) delivered for eachproject. You can get the terms of warranty from our Customer service.

A CONCLUSIVE APPROACHThe approach used to highlight the main points that determine the developmentof a solution is shown in the diagram below :

1. RISK ASSESSMENTThe first step is to assess the trespassing risk which weight on the site toprotect. The risk level is determined by two components: the trespassingprobability and the consequences related to this trespassing; the offer is focusedon a range of solutions corresponding to the risk level.

2. ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRAINTAll environmental factors affecting the life of the equipment are assessed :marine, industrial or urban environment, mountain or cold area, high winds,extreme heat, standard requirements for the site in question… The environment and the recommended solution are related: an efficientsolution cannot ignore the environmental parameters. The environmentalimpact is also key information to consider as part of the solution design (user, emergency and maintenance service access, presence of animals…).

3. LAND PARTICULARITIESAll the problems related to the installation are assessed : soil type, topography,geographical location, clearance around the erection area... This step allowstaking into account all installation constraints and refining the proposal in orderto simplify the erection.

4. TECHNICAL AND COMMERCIAL OFFERThe preparatory work makes it possible to choose a solution and assess abudget including all services. The offer is then formalised in a technical filedetailing our recommendations, the product drawings, the full description of theproduct solution and its assets.

5. PROTOTYPE, PRODUCTION AND LOGISTICSA prototype may be made to give an idea of the considered solution. Once the client validates it, the product is manufactured. The logistical aspect is critical for numerous construction sites. An unloading service to the site is offered to facilitate the organisation of the erection team and to avoid travelor expensive unloading unit rentals.

6. ERECTION AND AFTER-SALES SERVICEIn order to offer a global solution including supply and erection, LIPPI workswith the best erectors in France and abroad who follow the best practices. Our close collaboration and mutual confidence allow us to offer a quality finalservice, within the stipulated timeframe.

THE AQUILON®

Medium & Premium Range

DESCRIPTIONThe Aquilon® range is an innovative and patented rigid fence concept made up of welded panels, posts and fixing clips. This patented system allows perfect adaptation(to the millimetre) to the land without any unsightly stair effect. It is based on thesystem of fixing the panel to the post by inserting clips in the post’s grooves. With its quality materials, guaranteed finish, adapted security levels and successfulinstallation concept among professionals, this range will perfectly suit any of your projects.More than 30 panel/post combinations are possible, with numerous options available,fixing, security and installation accessories detailed in the following pages.

APPLICATIONThe Aquilon® range is recommended for numerous applications: from houses in rural areas to high security sites exposed to corrosion, an adaptedAquilon®panel/post solution exists. The Aquilon® MEDIUM range meets pricerequirements; the PREMIUM range is recommended for sites where quality, resistance and differentiation are most important. The PREMIUM range also meetsparticular site requirements: location near the sea, industrial areas, fence customizedaccording to the site colours etc...

ASSETS• RESISTANCEThe clips allow the panel to be fixed to the post while providing rigidityto the panels and high resistance to the fence. To strengthen it, werecommend installing self-breaking nuts or clip blockers. The Aquilon®

posts all have "closed" profiles that are more resistant to distortion orpulling of the panel.• PERFECT ADAPTATIONThe fence follows the land unevenness. The post groove acts as a slidewhich enables the installer to adjust the panel height to the millimetre,thus suppressing the unsightly "stair" effect obtained with slotted posts.The professionals can thus "adjust" the fence according to the post height,the land curves… The implementation is harmonious and the siteaesthetics are preserved.

• 10-YEAR WARRANTYThe Aquilon® Premium panels benefit from the Long Life Technology: aunique plastic coating technology, applied to a galvanised panel accordingto the NF EN 10244-2 standard; this coating allows us to offer a 10-yearwarranty per installation, for a durable investment.

With standard thickness plastic coating, these panels are aneconomical alternative to Premium panels.

APPLICATIONThe Aquilon® Atlantis® 21 Premium panel is mainly used in residential areas, to enclose a property, delimit an area of several houses or buildings; it is also used to enclose administrative sites (commercial offices, rural office sites). A good value-for-money solution.

DESCRIPTIONAtlantis® 21 Premium is a 2.50m long welded panel made of plastic coated galvanisedsteel wire Ø 5mm, with high protection provided by the Long Life Technology process(see page 4).The fence can be installed either on a flat or uneven ground, on an existing low wallor paving, by sealing it to the ground or a plate. The panel deflection is of 62mm fora load of 100kg on the panel centre. 2 to 3 folds (according to the height) strengthenthe panel rigidity. Packaging : 50 panels/pallet. Mesh 200x55mm, Wire Ø 5mm.

Note :- The panels of 1m73 and 1m93 height can be used with the Aquiwood kit (see page 22);

the fence thus protects from the view and the wind.

- For residential sites located less than 500m from the sea, it is recommended

to use the special Seaside Atlantis® 21 panel, made of Aluminium-zinc

alloy coated wires. This panel has a 5-year warranty against corrosion if used

with the Aquilon® aluminium post. For industrial sites exposed to corrosion

(harbours, arsenals, industrial sites…), the Atlantis® 21 panel is also available

hot-galvanised; it can be plastic coated for a longer life span (Long Life Technology).

- For the panels to be more secure, it is recommended to install a self-breaking nut or clip

blocker (see page 20).

DESCRIPTIONThe Aquilon® Luxury panel has a decorative frieze which distinguishes it from the rest of the range. Two diamond-shaped friezes are welded on both sides of the panel upper fold, before it is coated with plastic. Its length is 2.50m and the steel wires are galvanised and coated with plastic Ø 5mmwith high protection provided by the Long Life Technology process (see page 4).The fence can be installed either on a flat or uneven ground, on an existing low wallor paving, by sealing it to the ground or to a plate.The panel deflection is of 52mm for a load of 100kg on the panel centre. 2 to 4 folds(according to the height) strengthen the panel rigidity. Aquilon® Accessories and options

DESCRIPTIONCORNER CHANNEL : the corner channel allows the realisation of 90°angles and also allows starts from existing walls or gate posts. It is availablein Aluminium, clip able for aluminium posts, or in steel for steel posts,directly welded to the post or to be riveted.

It is either sold by linear metre, according to the fence above-grounddimensions, or by unit, already fitted to the post, by specially ordering anAngle post.

TOP RAIL:Protection for Atlantis® 21 and Standard panels: this plastic coated,galvanised steel top rail of 2.50m length is particularly recommended forschools and areas for young children. It is made of folded profiles and is tobe fitted onto the upper spikes of the panel. It is then blocked in the postchannel. It helps to protect against injuries and gives an aesthetic finaltouch to the fence. Reinforcement for Double wire panels : the reinforcement top rail for 5&6 or 6&8mm double wire panels is made of galvanised steel and is plastic coated. It is recommended to improve the flatness of thepanels, which are more flexible for not having folds; by providing moretension to the upper part, the top rail facilitates the installation of thepanels and their alignment.

PLATE : the plate allows the fence to be installed on paving, a low wallor any other existing rigid support.3 types of plates are available : - the plate welded to the post (square of 12x12cm) - the mobile aluminium plate made of 2 parts (for Atlantis steel post only,and panel H<1.50m), which necessitates drilling the post and fixing it with 3 supplied screws. It can be stored without the posts.

- The belt plate, which allows the post (Atlantis or Standard steel) to beinstalled against the wall. 2 plates and 4 belts per post.

OPTIONSAquilon® Range

CONCERTINA RAZOR BLADE : The Concertina razor bladeis to be installed in addition to a fence in at-risk or sensitive sites: its cutting aspect prevents trespass or escape. The Concertina razor blade network is a stainless steel strip cut out

as a selvage in a blade shape and set onto a high resistance steel wire (1400 Newton) ; this wire is resistant to cutting with ordinary tools. These strips areset as a network: the turns are stapled together with a high resistance steel staple.The rich galvanised or stainless steel 304 networks have an extended length of 10 to 15m depending on the diameter (from 450 to 980mm). The Concertina razorblade is to be installed at the bottom of the fence, on the fence or on the upper partof the cranked tops.The Concertina razor blade is also available in tape (wire with razor blades), and is tobe installed as barbed wire.

AQUIWOOD KIT : Aquiwood is a privacy/wind-breaker fence concept to be used with the Atlantis® or Standard panels, and the Atlantis® or Standard steel posts to embed. The woodenboards give the fence an aesthetic and warm aspect; to customize

the installation, they can be painted or fitted onto part or all of the alignment. Aquiwood is made of spruce pinewood and is autoclaved class 3 in accordance with NF B 50-105-3, anti termite and anti blue stain standard. 3 Aquiwood kits are available (fastening sytems not supplied – installer to choose) : the1m49, 1m73 and 1m93 kits, each include 46 vertical boards and 3 horizontal brackets.Board: width 48mm, thickness 7mm / Bracket: Length 1m25x2, triangle base 14mmThe brackets are installed into the fence panel folds and the boards are fixed verticallyonto the bracket.Aquiwood can be installed on an existing fence, in areas 1 and 2 of the Snow and Windmap – for areas 3 to 5, consult us for resistance calculation.

CRANKED TOP : The cranked top is an additional protectivedevice which is fitted as an extension of the Aquilon® posts. It is mainly used in at-risk sites, such as airports, harbours, stations,

industrial, military, storage sites etc to prevent trespassing. It is installed at the top ofthe fence post to form an interior, exterior or Y angle superior or equal to 45° and is 50cm long.Between two cranked tops, panels for cranked tops or barbed wire lines can be filledwith networks of Concertina razor blades to make the fence even morediscouraging.3 types of mobile cranked tops are available : in Aquilon® Atlantis or Standard post ; in Aquilon® Security post ; in 50 corner iron for steel Security post (welded crankedtops upon quotation).An inter cranked top allows 90° angles to ensure continuity.

A compliance certificate is issued with each gate,in addition to the technical instructions for the installer.High quality materials and clean and reliable assemblies meet the installers’ and finalusers' security requirements.The gates are available with 3 possible opening systems : 180° swinging, rail sliding orcantilevered, and 2 opening modes : manual (Equilis®) or automated (Sensitis®), whichgives many possible combinations to satisfy most requirements.The gates (2 panels) and pedestrian gates (one panel) are available in meshed(Aquilon® 200x55mm mesh panel filling) or railed version (50x25mm bars).

The ground bolt is mounted on the frame, the swinging gates (Ø 18, 20 or24mm) are welded onto the post.The Equilis® railed swinging gates are reversible for openings under 6m,which allows free choice of opening direction on site at the last moment.For the Sensitis® versions, the cover for the opening mechanism is blackby default; other colours are available upon request.

ADVANTAGESROBUSTNESS The gates are made of high resistance galvanised steel. They are installed either on base plates with hooks in the concrete, in order toensure stability and robustness (included in the implementation kit), or on posts embedded in the ground. The LIPPI gates do not have a limitednumber of openings per day.

SIMPLIFIED INSTALLATION In order to decrease the installation time, the gates are delivered pre-assembled in factory, ready to install. All the parts of the gate (panel, posts, supporting posts or receiving post) are pre-assembled. The gate only needs to be adjusted and adapted to the land. For automated versions, the panel is equipped, the supporting post isfitted with the mechanism and the receiving post is ready to receive thecables. Only the power supply needs to be connected.

CUSTOMISABLENumerous options are available for better access control according to security requirements.

CHAIN LINK

APPLICATIONThe Chain link fence can be used for in all types of sites: parks, gardens or privateproperties in residential areas, rural areas (fields, orchards...), industrial areas(warehouse, factory, commercial premises...) or tennis courts (see page 48). This fence is particularly suitable for sloping ground.

DESCRIPTIONThe chain link fence is a traditional fence, made of woven wires forming diamond-shaped links of variable dimension. It is available in different qualities, wirediameters and heights, and comes with knuckled edges or with defensive barbededges at the top, bottom (or both) of the fence.

APPLICATIONThe Paturage® stock fence is especially made for closing grazing fields for sheep, cows and goats. It is also used to prevent animals from crossing roads in forested areas.

DESCRIPTIONThe Paturage® Fence is made up of knotted rectangular links. It is assembled by rollingup vertical wires around each horizontal wire. Spaces between horizontal wiresdecreases from top to bottom : meshes are thus larger in the upper section andbecome progressively narrower in the lower section of the fence. The graduated meshallows different sizes animals to remain in the same enclosure : sheep, poultry, ponies,pigs, calves, cows, etc…The vertical and horizontal wires are 1.9mm in diameter, and edge wires (upper and lower horizontal wire) are 2.4mm in diameter.Paturage® is available in two different versions: “Heavy Galvanised” or Aluminium-zinccoated (life span twice as long as the heavy galvanised version).

APPLICATIONInstallation accessories are used in addition to posts and struts to attach and tighten the fence. 6 different accessories are available, with different qualities adapted to thetype of the chosen fence and posts.

DESCRIPTIONAGRAFES : Used to fix the fence to the straining wire with pliers. 2 staple sizes: 16 or 20mm.NB : Professionals prefer staples as they are much quicker to install.However, tying wire remains available for those who would rather choosea traditional installation. It is available heavy galvanised, plastic coated orAluminium, in bobbins with or without armour, Ø 0.9 or 1.3mm in lengthsof 50m or 100m.

STRAINER (or stiffener) : strainers are used to tighten the straining wire : it is inserted into the strainer, then you screwed using a spanner until the wires are tightened to the maximum. The strainer is positionned at each wire start and end. 3 strainer sizes are available according to diameter of the tension wire: - Ø 2.1 to Ø 2.7mm: strainer N°2- Ø 3.0: strainer N°3- Ø 3.7 and 3.8: strainer N°4They are available hot dip galvanised, green or white plastic coated,Aluminium or stainless steel.

STRAINING OR TENSION WIRE : straining wire is available in 50 or 100 metres rolls. It is installed horizontally along the whole fence,run through holes at each post, then hightened using the strainer. It isrecommended to set a straining wire approx. every 50cm height aboveground, the first one being installed 10cm from the top of the fence.

APPLICATIONThe Aquigraf® Post can be used with all fences available in rolls instead of traditionalT posts and other accessories, or with the Aquilon® panels. Its specific design makes the installation easier and much quicker than the traditional installation withaccessories. As it is versatile, it brings harmony to sites where both panels and fence in rolls are used.

DESCRIPTIONThe Aquigraf® posts are folded profiles of hot dip galvanised steel or plastic coatedgreen or white on zinzimir. The fence is flattened against the post channel; then astaple is placed on a vertical wire of the fence and fastened onto the channel. 3 postdiameters are available (Ø 38, 50 or 70mm), to be used with struts (Ø 35 or 50mm).With the Aquigraf® posts, you can create all sorts of corners and embed them in the ground (50cm deep approx.). The posts are delivered with a PVC cap.

ASSOCIATED PRODUCTSTo fix the struts onto the posts, a fixture or collar is provided ; to hold the fence against the post, stainless steel staples are required to attach the vertical wire to the post channel (see summary table).Special pliers have been designed for an easy and correct installation of the fence. A removable or welded cranked top can be fixed onto thepost and the fence can be installed on a low wall or rigid support usingthe welded plates on the Aquigraf® posts and the struts. The fence can also be screwed, using the hot galvanised fixing bases: thebase of the Aquigraf® Ø 50mm post is buried with 57cm depth.

Note :-The groove is fitted with pins, which enable the installer to fix the staple more freely compared to posts with wire guides.

-It is recommended to place a staple every 30cm distance.

APPLICATIONStainless steel mesh have decorative and protection purposes, as well inside asoutside. It is especially used for filling in guard rails, metal shutters, stained glasswindows, wall hangings or shading devices. Stainless steel is an aesthetic and durablematerial, which is very much in use in architecture and design.

DESCRIPTIONThe flat or round stainless steel wires are woven into a flexible mesh, held by a rodand welded on ends, depending on the models.

INSTALLATIONTwo main installation modes may be used:

. Stainless steel cables Ø 6mm or rounds are run through the suspension eyeletswelded on the rod ends, and then fixed with turnbuckles. Eye bolts are added fortension. They are inserted in the rods then screwed in the pre-drilled side structureof the guard rail.

. The mesh is fixed into a L profile, and then held in place by a counter flat with a boltand a cap nut.

APPLICATIONHandrails provide separation between a field and a spectator area; they also giveaccess to a stadium or a running track thanks to openings.

DESCRIPTIONA handrail is made of Aluminium round profile posts, an Aluminium profile stringerand stringer fittings. The handrail is available with or without a meshed infill. Its above-ground height is 1.10m (40cm post embedding).For a mesh infill, two Aquilon® panels are available: the Reinforced Standard Aquilon®

panel (special handrail panel: wire 5&6mm with two horizontal folds – length 2.50m- height 0.98m) or the Aquilon® Heavy panel (wire Ø 8mm – length 2.50m – height0.98m) which is recommended in exposed areas (behind goals…). The Aquilon®

panels are fixed vertically into the post grooves, and horizontally under the stringerwith tying clips. This allows a reduction of panel’s vibrations due to ball impacts. Fora better resistance, it is recommended to add pop rivets on the clips or bolts withsecurity nuts.Handrail stringers are provided with fittings.A PVC cover that cannot be disassembled is clipped to the stringer; it hides all powercables (e.g. for lighting) and gives a modern and homogeneous aspect to the product.This unique handrail emphasises local sports equipments, offering aesthetics,modularity and perfect integration.Assorted openings are available; with 180° opening, you can easily drive lawn mowersand other maintenance machines onto the field.

APPLICATIONThe catch ball fence makes it possible to retain the balls within the boundaries of asports field or playground. It is generally used for outdoor football, rugby or basketballfields or on multi-sports fields.

DESCRIPTIONThe catch ball fence is a specific protective assembly including: Aquilon® posts toembed, a mesh or Aquilon® panels at the bottom, and netting at the top (or for thewhole of the fence). Specific items are used to block, fix, tighten and reinforce thedevice. The catch ball fence has the assets of the Aquilon® range: a patented concept, robustposts, solid fixtures, and an aesthetic and modern design.A guying system has been designed to increase resistance when the straight line ishigher than 50m. Post sections are designed according to the french Snow and Windrules of Zone 2, in nominal values and on standard sites (Upon request for zones 3,4 and 5).The catch ball fence infill depends on the distance with the field and the practisedsports: usually, the closer the field, the more shock absorbent the infill must be. Werecommend using heavy panels at the bottom to absorb shocks efficiently. On theupper part, the netting depends on the type of sports practised on the field.

APPLICATIONThe stadium fence prevents spectator intrusion onto the field during a match. It canbe fitted with a manual or automatic opening system to quickly evacuate panickedspectators.LIPPI's stadium fences have been installed in numerous stadiums, in France andabroad. These include: Stade de France, Lille Stadium, Gerlan Stadium in Lyon,Bordeaux Stadium, CAN Stadium (African Nations Cup) 2002 in Mali, Faro Stadiumin Portugal for Euro 2004...The stadium fence complies with the size and resistance recommendations andrequirements set by the football organisations (FIFA, UEFA, FFF).

DESCRIPTIONThe stadium fence is made up of one single panel with 2 or 3 meshes according tothe height and the Aquilon® Security posts to embed, held in place by tying clips andsecurity nuts. An assorted meshed pedestrian gate gives access between stands or tothe field.The stadium fence has the assets of the Aquilon® range: a patented concept, robustposts, solid fixtures, and an aesthetic and modern design.The whole fence is galvanised for higher quality and coated with plastic, in green orwhite as standard, and in other colours upon request.

APPLICATIONThe temporary fence is an economical, efficient and temporary way of restrictingaccess to a building site.

DESCRIPTIONThe temporary fence is made up of three main elements: the panel, the pedestriangate and the PVC or concrete block.The panels are made up of 2 or 4 welded tubes; the wires are of high resistance hardsteel, galvanised according to the NF EN 10244-2 standard.The pedestrian gate is fitted with a castor and a hinge for opening.The panels are assembled with hooks holding the fence and decreasing the assemblytime. The posts are inserted in the 39kg concrete block (stability) or the 21kg plastic block(easy to handle) – One more block than the number of panels should be planned inthe relative quotation.Steel plates are also available to replace the concrete block (15 kg, small dimensions)To prevent intrusion in the protected perimeter, it is recommended to use the anti-vandalism collar with the anti-lift system.The strut is recommended when using the protection corner, (which increases thewind factor), to improve stability; it is fixed to the panel with an anti-vandalism collarand to the ground with the ground rod or the plate ballasted with a concrete block. Steel or plastic racks are also available to store the fences when not in use and tofacilitate carriage (for 14 panels).

ALUMINIUM ZINC: Alloy made of 95% zinc and 5% aluminiumaccording to AFNOR A 35-051. Coating life span four times longer than theHeavy class. Two qualities: Standard Aluminium zinc (Standard class zinc coat) orHeavy Aluminium zinc (Heavy zinc coat).

CHANNEL:This is the Aquilon® post groove where the panel is inserted.LIPPI also uses the term "channel" for a steel or aluminium bar that creates a90° fence angle when applied to the back of an Aquilon® post.

DEFLECTION: The panel resistance is measured by applying a 100kgload to the centre of the 1m panel; Deflection is the difference between theinitial position and the after load position – the lower the deflection, the lessdeformable the panel, which is thus more resistant and easy to install.

DURALINOX: Aluminium alloy family with manganese, magnesium ormagnesium-silicon and stainless steel, characterised by an excellent resistance tocorrosion.

EXTRUSION:The wire that is plastic coated by extrusion is a Standardclass galvanised wire coated with a half-hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sheath,with a minimum thickness of 0.50 mm.Performance:- Perfect adaptation of the PVC sheath to the support wire.- Excellent resistance to shocks and crushing.- Excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion (10 year warranty in normaluse).

FLUIDISATION: The steel wire that is coated with plastic by afluidised bed process is a Standard class galvanised steel wire, heated at 235 °Cand passed through a fluidised PVC bath. The obtained coating has a thicknessof 0.25 mm minimum.

GALVANISATION: Galvanisation protects against corrosion; steelwires are coated with zinc during a continuous passage in a melted zinc bath.The NF EN 10244-2 standard sets the minimum zinc loads per g/m2 accordingto the wire diameters.Protection through galvanisation is proportional to zinc thickness: the higher thezinc load, the longer the life of the galvanised product – Standard class or C class: semi-thick galvanisation wire, commonly used (loadof 20 to 110g/m2 according to the wire diameters).– Heavy class or A class: thick galvanisation wire (load of 30 to 300g/m2

according to the wire diameters).
