Severe/Winter Weather – Great Lakes to New EnglandSituation:• System that crossed the Plains and into New England this past weekend exited into the Atlantic this morning• Weather conditions have generally improved across most of the eastern U.S.

Impacts:• No significant widespread damage was reported• As of 7:45 a.m. EST, there were approximately 285,000 customers without power across Michigan and Maine

o MI (174k, peak 328k); restoration efforts continue o ME (111k, peak 210k); restoration efforts continue

• Michigan - More than 2,000 power company employees focused on the storm restoration effortso Majority of customers in Michigan should have power restored no later than Dec 28

• At this time, no significant issues have been reported to the Department of Energy regarding restoration efforts• Shelters: MI – 11 open, 304 occupants; ME – 2 open, no occupants

State Response: • All States EOCs are at Normal Operations• No requests for FEMA assistance

FEMA Response: • NRCC is not activated; the NWC remains at Watch/Steady State • All RRCCs and RWCs are at Watch/Steady State
