FEMA Corps…
• is a joint national service program between the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS) & FEMA
• Team-based program for 18-24 year olds*
• Matches teams of up to 10 to disaster response, recovery, mitigation, and preparedness projects.
• Provides teams the opportunity to generally serve on 3 of projects over 10 months

Vision Statement: To build a disaster resilient America by delivering a highly talented and well trained resource to meet FEMA’s current and future workforce needs.
Goals: • To support FEMA’s disaster workforce• To develop a trained cadre of future leaders in Emergency
Management• To support the development of leaders and strengthening of
communities

All members are trained in Disaster Survivor Assistance and another FQS:• External Affairs • Individual Assistance • Logistics • Planning • Public Assistance • Geographic Information

• Conduct Assess Inform & Report (AIR) mission at disasters• Assist Public Assistance (PA) in writing project worksheets• Work with Individual Assistance (IA) to provide case updates
in Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs)• Formulate Incident Action Plans, Situation Reports, Common
Operating Pictures, and produce maps for planning products• Provide support to Distribution Centers, Regional Offices,
exercises, and disaster preparedness planning• Provide support to FEMA and partners to enhance a whole
community approach to resiliency
