Beyond our work in San Francisco, Felton Institute is taking a leadership role in scaling early intervention services for psychosis and schizophrenia nationally by expanding the PREP program (prepwellness.org and incubating the new National Psychosis Prevention Council (psychosisprevention.org). Position Summary In collaboration with the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Grantwriter will develop grant proposals and reports, including writing narrative, preparing budgets, and developing final attachment materials for submittal, ensuring all deadlines are met. The Grantwriter will also support the Director of Strategic Initiatives in managing key relationships, supporting both fundraising and policy efforts at the state and national level. If you love writing proposals and grant reports, have strong organizational skills, and feel a sense of pride and accomplishment every time you submit a proposal a week before the deadline, this is the position for you. Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct prospect research on foundation and corporate donors • Maintain the grants calendar and produce monthly reports on grant activity • Maintain all proposal attachment files such as staff resumes and budgets • Write, rewrite, edit, and proofread grant proposals and reports, primarily for foundations and
corporations • Project manage timelines and assemble large government funding proposals • Assist with relationship management, including scheduling meetings and assembling follow-‐up
communications after meetings • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
• 1-‐3 years experience in development and fundraising • Strong grammar, creative writing, proofreading, and word processing skills • Highly skilled at organizing information • Excellent research and analytical skills • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information • Ability to multi-‐task and work collaboratively with other staff • Track record of managing multiple tasks under the pressure of deadlines • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • Bachelor’s Degree
Bonus Points for:
• Knowledge of Bay Area philanthropic community and national corporate and private foundations
• Interest in or experience with David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD) time management method, Things or OmniFocus software, and productivity improvement tools in general
