Come to Clacton for our first seaside trip of the year where you can

explore the seafront gardens, have a stroll along the prom (walk off some

of that Easter chocolate!) or sit and watch the world go by in one of the

Wednesday 26th April

MISSISSIPPI PADDLE BOAT

We invite you to take a trip with us to Norfolk for a cruise on the

Mississippi Paddle Boat departing from Horning. We will stop at Wroxham

Barns for lunch. Choose from either cheese & tomato quiche with new

potatoes and salad OR chicken breast in a mushroom & cream sauce with

mashed potatoes, carrots and peas. For dessert choose from apple pie &

custard OR strawberry cheesecake. (Gluten free options are available).

The boat sails at 3:00pm and the cruise lasts for roughly 1 ½ hours. The

luxury river cruiser runs from the beautiful village of Horning, along the

River Bure and out to Ranworth Broad and back, passing lovely old

Sunday 7th May FELIXSTOWE The popular classic vehicle rally is taking place on the seafront today. Now in the 47th year this popular event with up to 500 varied vehicles attending is a real visitor attraction. Keep an eye out for one of our own vintage coaches entering in the display! If classic vehicles don’t tempt you all the usual seaside attractions of fish & chips, amusements, ice cream are on hand and of course the beach if you fancy a paddle!

Tuesday 9th May

CROMER

Perched on the very edge of the North Norfolk Coast, Cromer is famous for its tasty crabs, wide open beaches and traditional pier. In Cromer you will find a vibrant Norfolk town with a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and shops. With a proud tradition of RNLI service, it has been said that the lifeboat service is the lifeblood of the town and the Henry Blogg Musuem offers a great insight into the service's history.

ST. ALBANS

This town was the third largest Roman settlement in Britain and there is

plenty of evidence of this including a fine mosaic floor and hypocaust

along with the remains of an open-air theatre (admission fees apply).

There is also the Abbey Church with beautiful wall paintings and St

Alban’s Shrine. You might even have time for a tour of the tower. There

are numerous places to eat, an excellent range of shops and a colourful,

vibrant street market with over 100 stalls!

Saturday 13th May

STAMFORD OR BURGHLEY HOUSE

Declared a conservation area in 1967, Stamford has over 600 listed buildings all in mellow limestone in the town centre including 5 medieval churches. It is also home to one of the oldest provincial theatres, built in 1768 which is now used as the arts centre. There are plenty of shops to peruse and buildings to explore or you could have a quiet walk along the river. If you fancy, you could follow the ‘Town Trail’ which takes you around Stamford through passageways, market squares and along the main bustling street with plenty of coffee shops and stores to tempt you! Or enjoy a visit to Burghley house; built between 1555 and 1587 the house has been beautifully preserved and restored. Take a look round the old kitchen, the chapel, the billiard room and many of the bedrooms.

DUNWICH & WOODBRIDGE

The beautiful coastline at Dunwich makes it the perfect place to stop for

lunch. We will be calling in at the Flora Tearooms where for lunch they will

be serving up their famous fish & chips; choose from cod, plaice or

Friday 2nd June BETH CHATTO GARDENS The Gardens, situated in Elmstead Market, were created by award winning gardener, author and lecturer Beth Chatto, who won 10 gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show, in 10 consecutive years. There is rich history, fantastic heritage including mass shoe production recorded as far back as the 17th century and is a shopper’s paradise. Northampton museum holds the largest collection of shoes in the world.

The town boasts a vibrant High Street and adjoining lanes full of quirky shops. We will be stopping in Tenterden for about 1½ hours and then we will head on to Rye where you will find cobbled lanes lined with medieval half timbered houses. The 14th-century Ypres Tower, which formed part of Rye’s defences, is now Rye Castle Museum, with paintings and displays on local history.

Tuesday 27th June BLETCHLEY PARK OR MILTON KEYNES Step back in time at Bletchley Park and explore the old code breaking

huts, have a look round the mansion and the many exhibits that are on

display throughout. There are soundscapes playing snatches of

conversation, music, noises of bicycle bells and steam trains which is how

it may have sounded during WW2. The landscape has been restored to its

WW2 appearance and the footprints of the long-gone Huts 2 and 9

marked out to remind visitors where they were. The tennis courts have

also been restored to grass, as they were in the early 40s. This place is

steeped in history and well worth a visit. Or if you fancy a day in the “city in

the country” wandering round the lovely parks and along the river and

stopping in some riverside pubs, finished off with some shopping, then

Milton Keynes is the place for you.

Mississippi Paddle Boat departing from Horning. We will take you directly

We will hold bookings for 10 working days from when you make your reservation. If after 10 days, we have not received payment the booking will be removed. 2. When booking please refer to the codes on the reverse of this brochure. This will indicate your pick up time. 3. We aim to offer the best and prompt service possible. To do this we ask that our passengers ensure that they are waiting at their collection points at least 5 MINUTES BEFORE the times stated on their tickets.
