Alois Hüls founds a cabinet making company in Stadtlohn. The fi rst employees did not have to go far: the production site was in the town centre.

The new hülsta collection hülsta solid is awarded the environmental sign “Blue Angel“ at the imm cologne.Karl Hüls takes over the company and develops

hülsta into the best-known German furniture brand. His exemplary commitment to Germany as the production site earns him the Federal Cross of Merit in 2001. For the fi rst time, hülsta registers its innovations as a patent. Until now, hülsta has registered more than 223 German and international patents.

hülsta is registered as a trademark at the German Patent Offi ce in Munich. The international brand protection follows soon after.

With INTERMAT, hülsta creates an innovation that puts an end to the impractical upper and lower cupboards. The idea to produce wardrobes with continuous doors and a choice of interior fi ttings quickly became a top seller in the furniture market.

hülsta was confi dent about its quality: All base frames were supplied with a 12-year guarantee.For other sectors, the hülsta quality passport was created. Today, it ensures a 5-year guarantee on craftsmanship and functional safety as well as the quality of fi nishes.

The Stiftung Warentest (German product testing) thoroughly checks desks and awards hülsta’s MULTI: ”very good“. hülsta keeps up the good work and is awarded a total of eleven “good” or ”very good” for diff erent products.

Brands come and go – or remain. hülsta is included in the kings‘ class of German brands and is awarded as one of Germany‘s “Brands of the Century”.

In 2012 and 2014, as a green pioneer among furniture manufacturers, hülsta is nominated among the top 3 for the ”Blue Angel“. The award is given to companies with outstanding commitment to the environment, thus contributing considerably to the protection of the environment.

In 2014, hülsta is awarded the “climate neutral furniture manufacturer“ and in 2015 the ”Emissions label A” by the German Quality Association for furniture (DeutschenGütegemeinschaft Möbel (DGM). This makes it easier for the consumer to fi nd especially harmless and climate-neutral interiors.

With the innovative table T70, hülsta wins the prestigious Red Dot Award 2017 and, for an advertising fi lm, shows a ballet dance on the table in order to prove the extraordinary quality and stability.

The hülsta modular unit and base frame range is awarded the “Blue Angel“ quality seal.

The hülsta brand launches the bathroom collections Tetrim and Gentis, making the bathroom a generous wellness oasis with design-oriented and functional “Made in Germany“ furniture. Yet again, hülsta is a green pioneer and the fi rst manufacturer to be awarded the environmental sign ”Blue Angel“ for bathroom furniture.

hülsta celebrates its 80th company anniversary with many attractive anniversary campaigns.

With the hülsta Navis room divider, hülsta wins the sought-after ICONIC AWARD 2018 and is awarded the Interior Innovation.

hülsta wird als Warenzeichen beim Deut-schen Patentamt in München eingetragen. Nur wenig später folgt der internationale Markenschutz.

Since 1974, hülsta has been part of the Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel (DGM) (German Quality Association for Furniture) and complies with their high standards for quality and consumer protection. hülsta effortlessly complies with the strict criteria that they use for their product testing.

All of the products are extensively tested and are subject to strict quality criteria. For new purchases, hülsta always grants a 5-year guarantee. Always inclusive: unlimited support for questions and requests regarding furniture from hülsta.

hülsta values perfect craftsmanship in combination with

modern manufacturing processes, whilst always focussing
