    Ways and Means Update

    Greetings from Ways & Means!

I hope everyone got through this latest snowstorm ok. Lots of digging out to be done

however, since they say, “when life hands you lemons, make lemonade”, I decided to

“make lemonade” and go sledding with my kids and Grandsons and it was a blast!

So, all this snow did have some redeeming qualities! Now, it can just go away and

    bring on spring!

Not too much to report from the committee but I am working on some ideas to bulk

up our funds and will share them just as soon as I can put them all together.

    ANTHOLOGY

    Anthology “support group” has begun!

We made all the “tough decisions” on how the group was going to proceed in record

time! All fabric designs, colors, and number of blocks each month were determined

with ease. Thank you ladies for making this part of the group so simple! We will be

exchanging our first set of blocks at the next guild meeting. We’ll also discuss any

questions, ideas,, or information at that time as well. I would also encourage a “show

and tell” at each meeting to show the members our progress in this “journey”. I’m so

excited to see how quickly this quilt top comes together!

    PROGRAM CALENDAR 2017-2018

    Greetings from the nominating committee,

As two long time members of the DeKalb County Quilters Guild, Pat and I are sending this earnest

appeal to all of you. Our guild is very dear to our hearts, and we are most anxious to see our group

continue to thrive and flourish. In order to do this, we need your help. Your responses to the survey

we took last month were greatly appreciated, and a few of you even volunteered to serve. Unfortu-

nately, we neglected to get names on the surveys. Next year will be our guild’s 40th anniversary. We

would love to see that happen! In the meantime, we need people willing to serve. Below, please find

a sample nominating ballot with a link to descriptions of all the roles. We are eager to spark an in-

terest in quilting, share our knowledge and talents, and to increase our membership! Please remem-

ber that many hands make light work, and that job-sharing is an option. If you are willing to be a

part of the team that makes this all possible, please consider serving!

    Sincerely,

    Pat Barger and Kathy Wells
