REMINDER: If you are exhibiting your work in the Members’ Shows, you are requested to provide some refreshment. Finger food is best.
We mourn the loss of Conrad Reitz who passed away on January 9th. Connie was a devoted volunteer, board member, and
coordinator of classes at the Guild. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Connie had a ready smile and a warm sense of humor. He will be missed.

“A teaching artist is a practicing professional artist with the complementary skills and sensibilities of an educator, who engages people in learning experiences in, through, and about the arts.” Eric Booth. A teaching artist, by definition, is a two-career professional: a working artist and a working educator. This describes so well the gifted teachers of the Ocean County Artists Guild. This group is very much a working artist group participating in competitions, continuous learning programs, and working to sharpen their skills. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated group who inspire students to become the artists they are meant to be. February is Honor Our Teachers Month. Please come to our reception.

“Put art in your life. You will be richer for it!”The Laurelton Art Society grew out of the interests of a
small group of artists dedicated to providing a means for those who share an interest in art - to meet, share ideas and promote public interest in the visual arts. We welcome the “art appreciator” as well. Now in its thirty-third year, the Laurelton Art Society is proud of its growth. We continue to provide quality cultural programs for the public including demonstrations and workshops. Each year, we grant scholarships to local high school students pursuing studies in art.
In addition to the monthly meetings and demonstrations, the Laurelton Art Society sponsors a series of special programs and events including an annual “Festival in Art”, a multi-media exhibit. Ribbons are awarded for excellence in oil painting, acrylics, watercolor, mixed-media and photography.
