FEBRUARY 2018 MEETING – California Dreaming, NMB The new year is off to a great start and our February Meeting on February 11 was full of excitement and information on the year’s upcoming events. George Washnak, our President kept the meeting running smoothly and efficiently. Of note, our club in January 2018 presented checks to Jason’s House and Wounded Warriors Special Ops (S.C.) from proceeds of the 2017 car show. It’s the charities that make all the hard work worth it.

ThenewyearisofftoagreatstartandourFebruaryMeetingonFebruary11wasfullofexcitementandinformationontheyear’supcomingevents.GeorgeWashnak,ourPresidentkeptthemeetingrunningsmoothlyandefficiently.Ofnote,ourclubinJanuary2018presentedcheckstoJason’sHouseandWoundedWarriorsSpecialOps(S.C.)fromproceedsofthe2017carshow.It’sthecharitiesthatmakeallthehardworkworthit.

Afterreviewingthemembershiprenewalsfor2018,GrandStrandCorvettesnowhas52membersontheroster.AllCorvetteownersareencouragedtocometakealookatusandseewhywearethebestCorvetteclubinthearea.

Activitiesalwaysgetourmembersexcitedandahostofactivitiesfor2018werepresentedbyDebbieWashnak,ActivitiesCommitteeChair.Checkourwebsiteformoreinformationonexcitingtimesjustaroundthecorner.Sheandhergrouphaveproposedmanyfunthingstodo,fromPelican’sgamestoroadtrips.

Ourplanningforthe20186thAnnualGrandStrandCorvettesCarShowisinfullswing.EarlierinthedayonFebruary11,HaroldDobbins(V.P.),LarryBaine(CarShowChairman),andCindyBaine(Secretary)attendedaRegionalJointMeetingofCarClubsinCalabash,N.C.

16Clubswererepresentedwithover80peopleinattendance,discussingalloftheupcomingshows,cruise-in,andeventstheirclubsaresponsoringthisyear.Theorganizerissendingoutalistofeventsandclubswithdatesandlocations.Oncewereceivethis,wewillposttheinformationonthewebsite.Theflyerforourcarshowisbelow.
