One Great Hour of Sharing Offering
Since 1949 Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share God’s love with our neighbors-in-need around the world. Your generous gifts to this Special Offering help provide relief those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and assist in helping to empower the poor and oppressed. Special offering envelopes for One Great Hour of Sharing will be available in the pews during Lent if you wish to make a contribution. The envelopes may be placed in the offering plate.
Easter Lilies
Sign-ups for Easter lilies will be available on the clipboards starting March 6th. If you wish to purchase an Easter lily to be displayed in the sanctuary on Easter Sunday, please fill out an envelope by March 13th. Note that all lilies remaining in the sanctuary following Easter service will be delivered to our shut-ins.
Lenten Reminders
This year we are handing out The Greatest Commandment key chains for you to carry with you throughout the Lenten season. We hope having this on your key chain will remind you every day Christ’s sacrifice.
Lenten Devotional
This year’s free Lenten devotional is based on Colossians 2:13-14—“Christ has utterly wiped out the damning evidence of broken laws and commandments which always hung over our heads, by nailing it over his own head on the cross.” This verse stands as the cornerstone of each reflection, and readers are encouraged each day to use a real nail as a hands-on reminder of the meaning of Christ’s suffering and death.

Dear Members of First Presbyterian Church,
The time has come for me to say goodbye. My husband and I are moving to Fort Lewis, Washington for his military station. My last day working will be February 23rd, 2016. I had an amazing time working here. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn and get to know some of you! I had a blast.
Respectfully,
Tatiana
YOUTH GROUP!
February 3rd Pizza Party for two members who are moving.
February 10 Youth can sit together for the Lenten service.
This month we will also be looking for ways to create a space that is reflective of who we are in our Youth Group Room and possibly spilling out into the hall.
We will also be planning some new mission projects for the future.
