Newsletter February 2014 From the Chairwoman The Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce experienced many exciting changes last year. We introduced a few new events, the Young Professionals group, the Member One Card, a new website, new operating systems internally, and became more involved with the City of Maryland Heights. We wish much success to all of the Staff, Board, and Chamber Members that we said goodbye to. We are excited to be welcoming some new faces to the Staff, Board of Directors, and Executive Board of Directors and are excited about our goals for 2014. The Mission of the Chamber is to enhance the general welfare and prosperity of businesses and citizens of the Maryland Heights area, and to provide opportunities for its members to address economic, com- mercial, governmental, and educational issues. We realize each of our members may be looking for something different from their membership with the Chamber and it is our goal to help each of you achieve your goals. We encourage each of you to get involved. Volunteer your time, join a committee, or just attend our events. However you feel comfortable participating, be sure to bring plenty of business cards. Together we will achieve more goals. Sincerely, Nichole Knight, Labor Ready - Chairwoman of the Board From the Executive Director Let me begin by saying thank you to our Membership, Staff and Board of Directors for another great year! As Executive Director, my focus is on supporting and promoting the economic development within the community, as well as offering invaluable ben- efits and services to its businesses. Whether you are looking to grow your business or start a new one, the Chamber is one stop you don’t want to miss! We are pleased to provide over 40 events that offer opportunities to network, build relationships and increase your sales volume. We offer many benefits that can help grow your bottom line, if you are not aware of all of them, please log on to the Benefits & Services page on our new and interactive website to ensure you are using your membership to the full- est. I am thrilled to host our upcoming Monthly Luncheons, Trivia Night, Golf Classic, Business Expo, Business Leader of the Year and Holiday Gala as excellent opportunities to network and sponsor. I look forward to seeing you there! Inside you will find information on how to sponsor or participate in each event, in order to help obtain your marketing goals. Our door is always open for sugges- tions of ways to increase the value of your membership. As always, thank you for your support. By Strengthening the Chamber, together, we can continue to grow the community. From the Chairwoman The Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce experienced many exciting changes last year. We introduced a few new events, the Young Professionals group, the Member One Card, a new website, new operating systems internally, and became more involved with the City of Maryland Heights. We wish much success to all of the Staff, Board, and Chamber Members that we said goodbye to. The Mission of the Chamber is to enhance the general welfare and prosperity of businesses and citizens of the Maryland Heights area, and to provide opportunities for its members to address economic, com-mercial, governmental, and educational issues.
