AN ANGEL TO FEED ME
As a child I have seen my fairshare of trouble. Growing upwith a mother that is hooked oncrack cocaine is not an easylifestyle. The days and nightsseemed longer than they were. There were plenty of times thatI would ask God why? There isno way a child deserved to livea lifestyle such as this one. What did I do wrong? Neverknowing if the next meal wouldactually come, happy to go toschool knowing I would havebreakfast and lunch.
Then it hit me…sometimes weare put through a storm not tosuffer for the long term; but tobe able to help others survive it.

sI was 16 years old when I firstspent the night on the streets ofAlbany, Ga. Now it might nothave been a Major city…it wasthe scariest times of my life. Notknowing what would happen tome. Would I be able to eat, where would I sleep?
I know now that God watchedout for me and every time I washungry, he sent an ANGEL tofeed me. The shocking part wassome of these people didn'tknow me, but treated me asfamily.
I know my life’s mission is tohelp people so I set out to writea short version of my life foryoung teens and adults. Thisbook would be titled Tracks ofMy Tears. Now I’m in theprocess of turning this book intoa movie to reach an evenbroader audience.
I wake up with a smile on myface…knowing my life wassparred, and I used a sayingthat my Master-Chief from theU.S. Navy told me….Never
Give, Never Give in, and Never,Ever Surrender.
It would be my honor to donate20% of my new book One LastCry. Ron's Revenge toArt4TheHomeless due out Feb13th.
So, please share with friends asthis promotion will last Feb 13 –Feb 28.
I pray for Art4theHomeless & otherorganizations like this. Muchsuccess in all you do.

Since the inception of Hands of Love Outreach in 2009,this non-profit organization has expanded from serving20 bags of food, which included canned goods, sandwiches and chips to now serving more than 9,000hot meals (including all of the above), as well as clothingand hygiene kits in the Atlanta area. As we’ve seen theneed for rehabilitative programs in our services thispopulation continues to show an increasing trend.

Kelene have been creating art since she was a small child. Shestarted finger painting at a young age and was hooked on artfrom then on. Her inspirations come from the masters withPicasso being one of my favorites. She keeps creatingconstantly which helps her strive to be better and to pushherself as far as she can go in imagination. She loves colorand uses it a lot in her paintings and drawings. She mainlypaints in acrylic on canvas but also on wood and paper. Herhobbies are drawing, reading, writing and running.

Aloha,
I am deeply saddened by the killings in Newtown at Sandy Hook Elementary School.I am especially ashamed at this time to have a mental health diagnosis. Obviously, this young man needed help that he wasn't getting. I pray for the spirits of the littleangels who are no longer with us. We will always remember them and I wish toconvey my sincere condolences to the families of those children. I don't feelstigmatized personally, my friends and family know the person I am and know that Iwould never harm anyone for any reason. I wrote two poems as a tribute. I submittedthem to a book to be presented to the families. I don't know if they will be accepted. Iwill place them here as an expression of my feelings. I put everything into poetry it ismy outlet. I only wish that young man had such an outlet and used it moreproductively. It is my hope that he will fade from our memories and that we will beleft with the sweet memorials and memories of the children. They will live in ourhearts forever. This page is dedicated to them.
A Wave
We've caught a waveswept away by grief

The Lost Childrensome children are lost
before we can save themsome children lose themselves
in the crowds, gunmentake them from us
so me children are lostdue to disease, kidnappingthem from us, taking them
from us prematurelysome children play neverthelesssome children we try to impress
with goodness, some never have thechance
to be inspired to grow and overcomeI grow and widen as tears fall
yet again. I cry for the lost childrenwho were taken by a hand of violence
strive to heal, to great-en impactin a scattered life. How they will
never be forgotten, justiceit seems never wins. The losseswe find along our way, empty usa little hope each day, our hearts
seep compassion, to seek answersstudy and seek, peek at the newsthe lost children who in discoveryof death, we find, know them well
we are all lost, all childrenall seek play, knowledge, wish
forgiveness for all involvedwill any pay for the loss
can anything ever replacetheir innocent faces, looking
with trust, who in schoolwhere vulnerable, were taken
snatched from our handsthe wrong is obvious, wrong
is what I push against.Fright for the parents, for their
healing, that we all may overcomethis dark day. The sun setson loss, what will we find
tomorrow, will children be bornto replace them? Will children
somewhere be found after timewill we capture their spirits
hold them close, raise themselvesin the tragedy, loss so profound
to impact society yet againwhen we will cease to lose
we work so hard to wincare and protect, servewhen will the death endthe gunmen shooting
scattered victims on the groundI seek peace, pray to findforgiveness for parents
for myself. Pray that all losswill lead to something
that this loss will leave an absencedefinitely. Let us fill that absence
diligently, fill it with lovesubtract hate. Wouldn't it
be a miracle if hate got lostwas never found, if peaceand love was found daily
hidden in a drawer or highon the top shelf. Where weforgot we put it, where we
never looked beforethere, where we find
a place in ourselves to forgiveto lend a hand to other children
who we still have. Let's workto save the children we canif nothing else, take them
by the hand and lead themin the direction of healing
perhaps then we can heal ourselves.

Think Outside of your Creative Box
2012 may have been a year where you honed your craft.Whether you were a painter, musician, photographer or writeryou worked hard at strengthening your skills. That's a great featand something to applaud yourself for.
This new year you can and should continuing honing your skillsbut I want to challenge you. I want you to add a new creativeskill to your lists that has nothing to do with your currentabilities. If you are a painter try picking up an instrument. If youare a musician see what it's like to see the world through a lens. And if you're a photographer try putting a pen to paper andseeing how visual a writer you are.
Why should this be done? It should be done because not onlywill it broaden your horizon as an artist it will also do it for youas a person. When you learn to look outside the box you canbecome a stronger person mentally, emotionally and evensocially.
There is a site online called Deviantart (www.deviantart.com).There you can post your artwork and receive feedback. Whilethere you can also socialize and learn new skills from thosewho are in or outside your artistic field. While doing this you willgrow as an artist and add new networks that can become handyat helping you advance in your field.
Use this year to grow.
Let your creative light shine. And think outside your creativebox.

Sweaty awakenings, thoughts of you abound.
Dreams of your image, has me tightly wound
Ceaseless memories keeps me on a leash,
Longing for your bounties like a sate less feast.
Torture is my yearning, excruciating pain,
Without your love, nothing to lose,
Nothing more to gain………release me with a word…

diWhat comes to your mind when you think of rubies? Royaltyand riches? What about power and red? Ruby is a veryprecious gemstone that evokes the aura of power andrichness. What, exactly is a ruby besides a beautiful andexpensive gemstone? Actually, you can get rubies for lowprices--just go to a gem and mineral/new age type store andget them tumbled. They don't have to be cut and faceted tostill be a ruby.
Ruby is a red form of Corundum, which is the aluminumanalogue of Eskolaite, Hematite, and Karelianite. As a astone of nobility, a Ruby's energy is intense and vivid. Rubydemands that you follow your bliss and acts like a plug forholes in your energy field. It's great for your Base Chakrasince it stimulates our basic instinct for survival while at thesame time, energizing our heart centers and strengtheningour physical heart.
Being that Base Chakra stone, Ruby brings out our passionand zest for life. It motivates setting of realistic goals andbalances the heart. Ruby is a joyful stone that bringsmoments of laughter and courage in the face of rough times.Ruby is a stone of positive dreams and also stimulates thepineal gland which is your Third Eye Chakra
Ruby's physical healing propertis overcome exhaustion andlethargy while also calming hyper activity. It detoxifies thebody, blood and lymphatic system; treats fevers, infectiousdiseases and stimulates the adrenals, kidneys, andreproductive organs.
Ruby is more than a gemstone, it is a message that says, "Iam powerful," Embrace that power, for we all have it withineach of us. Ruby is just here to stimulate that power and toremind you, we are all Divine.
