Keeping Herself Involved in the Community By Francisco De Anda

Kristina Chavez, a 2010 NHBWA scholarship recipient, is currently attending California State University, Fullerton where she is pursuing her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Currently, she is working for a local non-profit and is involved with local projects in her community, which include helping elderly people clean their homes. Although Kristina is greatly involved in numerous community activities, she finds balancing her school, work, and social life quite challenging.
