About BuildMat

BuildMat is the most comprehensive exposition for the aspiring home owner, developer, builder or decorator, to go hands on with the evolving trends in building materials, architectural and building services. The expo will serve as a one stop shop for architecture & engineering professionals to concern themselves with everything from building materials, construction technologies, machinery & equipments, sanitary & plumbing, interiors and the needs of the realty sector.

BuildMat is an expo organized by three leading entities of the construction industries in Coimbatore, the Indian Institute of Architects, Association of Consulting Civil Engineers and the Builders Association of India. The event is organized with the motive of uniting industrial expertise in the construction business and rewarding the common man with the fruits of their collaborative effort.

The year 2015 will mark the seventh edition of the biannual BuildMat platform. The year will see unprecedented support from major luxury brands, in addition to the contribution from the frontline construction industry organizations.

CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex constructed by CODISSIA at Coimbatore, the industrial city is the premier, purpose-built trade fair centre in the southern part of India and is one of the largest modern exhibition venues in the country. The complex spanning across 1,60,000 sq. m. of total ground area, has been designed to provide an ideal setting for trade events. International and National expositions, meetings, conventions, seminars and special events. CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex has a total oor area of 18,800 sq. m. of covered indoor space with 5 individual halls and 2,000 sq. m. of open-air display space.

About the venue

The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) was formed and registered in 1985 by a group of Consulting Civil Engineers in Bangalore. The main object of the association is to encourage and foster the ideals of the profession, to hold conferences / meetings / seminars for dissemination of knowledge amongst the civil engineers in particular and the society at large. ACCE (I) with its head quarters at Bangalore, has since grown into a National Association with centres formed all over India.

The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is the national body of architects in the country. Having started in the year 1917, it has more than 15,000 members today. The Institute has a major role in promoting the profession of architecture by organizing and uniting in fellowship the Architects of India, to promote aesthetic, scientific and practical efficiency of the profession both in practice and in education.

IIA is represented on various national and international committees connected with architecture, art and the building industry and is also actively associated with International Union of Architects (UIA), Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) and South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation of Architects (SAARCH).

THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS - Coimbatore Centre

The Builders Association of India (BAI) was formed in 1941 in Pune with guidance from Brigadier Jackson, who also allotted office space in the Military Compound. In the last 72 years since its inception, the BAI has grown by leaps and bounds. Today, it has nearly 30,000 members across 100 centres spread over the length and breadth of the country, with its headquarters at Mumbai. BAI is the member of “International Federation of Asian Western Pacific Constructors Association”.
