Arthritis can strike anyone, at any age. Arthritis now affects more than 6 million Canadians of all ages, including children and adults.
By supporting arthritis research, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those who struggle with this devastating disease. Arthritis Research Canada is a national organization headquartered in British Columbia, and is the largest clinical arthritis research centre in North America. Our research is aimed at arthritis prevention, early diagnosis and treatment, and quality of life issues.
Celebrating its seventh year as the signature fundraising event for Arthritis Research Canada, the 2019 ARThritis Soirée will return to The Roof at the Hotel Vancouver on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Guests will be treated to a fabulous array of hors d’oeuvres, champagne, wine, and entertainment, along with an exquisite raffle, and silent and live auctions.
The ARThritis Soirée, will continue to be presented as an elegant cocktail reception, allowing guests the opportunity to mingle and network. The event is designed to attract the city’s business and community leaders, philanthropists, doctors and other health care professionals through the appreciation of art and the desire to support arthritis research.
Why an ARThritis Soirée? Research has shown that art adds to one’s wellbeing and therefore is a great element in managing chronic diseases on a holistic level. Moreover, art adds an extra factor of excitement and depth to the Soirée through a varied presentation of art forms. The 2019 ARThritis Soirée promises to be another one-of-a-kind experience. Arthritis Research Canada is thrilled to announce Mike Reno, lead singer of Loverboy along with an all-star band as the evening’s entertainment. In the intimate setting of The Roof, sponsors and guests alike will be treated to an amazing show that will include some of Loverboy’s greatest hits.

About Us
Arthritis Research Canada was created in 2000 in Vancouver by the world renowned scientist Dr. John Esdaile and a dedicated Board of Directors who shared a vision: to conduct practical research for everyday living, research that would immediately touch and improve the lives of people living with arthritis.
Today, Arthritis Research Canada is home to three centres across Canada: British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec and is the largest clinical arthritis research centre in North America. The multi-disciplinary team of over 100 research scientists are recognized as world leaders in clinical arthritis research excellence. Arthritis Research Canada is currently conducting more than 75 studies aimed at arthritis prevention, early diagnosis and treatment, and quality of life issues for the 6 million Canadians affected by arthritis.
