Day 2, Tuesday Continuing eastward through Pennsylvania, we head to Carlstadt, New Jersey, just outside New York City, where we spend the night. B, D Day 3, Wednesday Today the excitement of this won- drous city becomes apparent during our exhilarating full day tour of the “Big Apple” as a local tour guide provides narration and information. Our sightseeing will take in many of New York’s most famous spots. We will see the bustle of the Garment District, Herald Square and Times Square. Our drive continues past the United Nations Building, through the busy Financial District, along Fifth Avenue with its elegant shops, past Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Church and Central Park. By late afternoon we check into our hotel for 2 nights, The Novotel, conve- niently located within walking distance of Times Square and the Theatre District. Tonight we attend a major Broadway play at one of the famous theaters located a short distance from our hotel. Information will be available about 4-6 weeks prior to departure. B Day 4, Thursday Happy Thanksgiving! Every Thanksgiving morning, famed charac- ters come floating down the street as part of Macy’s renowned parade. (No reserved seating is available). The 92nd annual event promises to be even more spectacular than previous years with new and exciting, bigger than ever helium balloons added to the marching bands, gorgeous floats, celebrity appearances, performing groups and, of course, the one and only Santa Claus. The afternoon is yours to explore New York City on your own. Ask your tour director for suggestions of the myriad of options available in this extraordinary metropolis. One of New York’s popular restaurants hosts a tra- ditional Thanksgiving Day dinner before we head to Radio City Music Hall for the legendary Christmas Spectacular featuring the grand dis- play of precision dancing by the world- famous Rockettes. One of America’s most popular entertainment traditions, this fabulous show features the beau- ty, magic and holiday spirit millions have come to love. B, D Day 5, Friday This morning we find the National September 11 Memorial and Museum are a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, PA, and at the Pentagon. At the Memorial, twin reflecting pools each nearly an acre in size, feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America sitting with-in the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood.
