My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
There are a few very important items to which I would like
to draw your attention:
Our Corpus Christi Auction is coming up on
November 12th. Please consider donating
merchandise or a gift certificate to the auction, or
choose to attend personally. Cost for a single
reservation is $60. More details are available at the
Parish Office. Won’t you please be a part of our
Mission Possible?
We will meet on Monday, November 7, in the St. Margaret
Mary Meeting room in the rectory to discuss our major
fundraising activity for the parish. Please plan to
come and share your ideas. Invite family, friends and
neighbors to come along.
After consultation with the Parish Finance Council we
have decided to postpone any movement toward the
use of the field for Senior Housing. We continue to
look at ways to utilize our school building.
With the permission of the Diocese and through the
kindness of anonymous donors, we have been able to
restore the Baptistry to its original dignity. Although
this room had fallen into disuse and became a “catch-
all”, we are happy to be able to see its beauty once
again. Please watch subsequent bulletins for an
explanation of the symbolism found in our Baptistry.
As we approach November, let us remember our Poor
Souls in Purgatory and pray for the repose of their
souls. Please see the Mass times for All Saints Day, a
Holy Day of Obligation, and for All Souls Day.
Next Sunday, there will be a special Mass to Remember
those of our parish who died in the last year. This All
Souls Memorial Mass, which will fulfill the Sunday
obligation, will be at 3 p.m. and will be followed by a
light reception in Mary’s Room. Please come and
pray with those who have lost a loved one recently.
The St. Clare Boy Scout Troop 433
will sponsor a Pancake Breakfast at St. Clare Church on
Sunday, November 6, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The entire
profit will be donated to the St. Clare Community Outreach
Program. Prices are: Adults $5/Seniors $4/Children $3.
CYO Winter Sports:
CYO is sponsoring a multi-parish Wrestling Team for 4th
through 8th grade boys. All are encouraged to register for
the upcoming 2016-2017 winter season. Wrestling
practices will be held 2 days a week in the evenings at
University School wrestling room on SOM Center Rd in
Hunting Valley.
Parents of all interested youth are requested to contact our
coaches Alex Massiello ([email protected]) or Steve
Cavolo ([email protected]). Online registration and more
information is available through http://ccdocle.org/
program/cyo-wrestling and http://www.CountyLine
Wrestle.org.
Sts. Robert & William Parish, 367 E. 260 Street (Euclid)
is hosting its annual Holly Berry Bazaar on Saturday,
November 5, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A variety of
handmade/homemade items, Christmas Raffle Baskets and
home party items will be available. Admission is $1 and
includes coffee/cookies. A simple lunch and bakesale are
also available. Please call 216.731.1515 for more details.

STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE .. .
Parishioners, Families, and Friends:
Corpus Christi Academy has finished its first quarter of
academic success! The students, faculty and staff finished
the quarter on Friday and are ready to begin the second
quarter on Monday! I want to take this time to thank the
students, faculty, staff, parents, and community for their
hard work, dedication, and most of all, Patience, as we put
the words into action over the past three months. We have
celebrated many milestones and accomplishments during
these months and everyone involved should be proud of
their efforts and success.
As we move into the second quarter we are greeted with
God’s beauty in nature as the leaves change color and
children play in the fallen leaves. We take this time to
reflect on how we can use our talents and gifts that God
has given each one of us to make Corpus Christi Academy
even better. Thank you all for the continued prayers and
support.
God Bless, Ken Mitskavich, Principal

up.
What a wonderful way to honor Mary by inviting family,
friends and neighbors to come to your home for an evening
of prayer to Mary, asking her to intercede with her Son on
our behalf. The recitation of the Rosary would be most
appropriate.
REAFFIRMING THE FAITH ..
our adult education series’ next presentation is
Wednesday, November 8, at 7 p.m.
in the Parish Family Center (PFC).
Our speaker will be our own Director of Music, Mark
Langley, who is also Academic Dean at the Lyceum.
Those who have heard the Lyceum Chorale know how
inspiring great liturgical music can be. Mark’s topic is:
“What did the Second Vatican Council really say about
Church music?” Come and find out, and enjoy a
stimulating evening with Mark!
There is no charge, and we even hear that there will be a
few munchies to enjoy. For your questions, call Jim Jaros
at 216.371.4131. This series is meant to help you grow in
your faith and your unerstanding of what the Church
professes and believes.
