10.6.0 Scenario analysis type 2 contains 4 different scenarios. A low volume and low price scenario, a high volume and low price scenario, a

low volume and high price scenario and a high volume and high price scenario. Those scenarios are based on changes in selling price,

production and direct production costs.

Debt / EBITDA ratio calculates ratio of debt compared with de EBITDA. It is calculated as: debt / EBITDA.

Debt contains the loan – repayments.

This figure shows the changes of 9 variables in the model. The values of the variables are linked with the percentage at het top of the

figure. The figure calculates the input value (expected value) * (1+percentage).

This figure shows the Net Profit after Tax. It used the outcomes of figure 9.2.0, but subtracts the new calculated profit tax. The

calculation is: Outcome figure 9.2.0 * ( 1 – percentage profit tax ).

Scenario analysis type 1 contains a Worst-case-Scenario, Base-case-scenario and a Best-case scenario. In the worst case the selling

price and production decreases with -10%. In this case all costs are increasing with 10%. In the base case the outcomes are the same

as the input in the model. In de best case the selling price and production increases with 10% and the costs are decreasing with -10%.

The outcome of the figure is the net profit after tax.

Return on Invested Capital calculates the total returns compared with the invested capital. The calculation is: Total returns / Invested

capital.

Invested capital is calculated as: Total financing – repayments own loan

Total returns are the interests own loan + the net profit after tax.

This figure shows the Net Profit before Tax, when a variable changes in the model calculation. For this calculation the values in figure

9.1.0 are used. For example the calculation for the selling price is: Net Profit before Tax + difference in selling price (input model and

outcome figure 9.1.0) * production.

Explanations

The net present value calculated the expected profit or loss of a project. All the expected future cash flows are discounted to a certain

point in time, using a required rate of return.

The operational cash flows are discounted with the required rate of return. It is calculated as: - Investment + operational cash flow / (1+

required rate of return) + operational cash flow / (1+ required rate of return)^2 + operational cash flow / (1+ required rate of return)^3+

etc..

The Internal rate of return calculates the percentage return on the investment.

The Debt Service Coverage Ratio is a debt ratio and is used by lenders to determine if the loan recipient has sufficient resources to

meet its debt in the future. It is calculated as: Net operating income (EBITDA) / total debt service.

The total debt service contains the repayments of bank + repayments of own loan + interest payment bank + interest payments own

loan.

Return on Equity calculates the percentage of net profit after tax compared with the equity of the business. The calculation is: Net Profit

after Tax / Equity

The calculated equity in the first year is the instalment own loan. In the coming years it is calculated as: equity last year + net profit after

tax last year – repayments own loan.
