To prevent Massachusetts dogs from being surrendered to shelters when their DogParents

face financial crisis and are unable to afford their basic, chronic or acute care needs.

Our Mission

Our ModelPhone Conversation or Application

We partner with local shelters, rescues and veterinarians in Massachusetts that refer DogParents in need of assistance to Fairy DogParents.

Applicants for assistance but be ‘qualified’ via their application and a phone interview and confirm their dog is at risk of being surrendered to a shelter.

We manage ongoing relationships with dogs and their DogParents in need of general wellness or chronic care needs.

We depend entirely on the dedication of our 15+ volunteers, the generosity of individual donors and local businesses to meet the needs of the DogParents in the community.

There is no paid staff, and limited infrastructure.

We spend most of our time addressing DogParents in need and spreading awareness in the community.

To meet the goals of the community and 100+ Sponsor Dogs per year must raise $100,000 annually.

Long Term Goal of ExpansionStarting a Chapter

Our Vision for Expansion: To expand to 2 additional states in 2014 then expand to an additional 3 states

in 2015, then establish a national presence by 2020.

To handle this expansion similar to franchising by approving each new chapter based on the Fairy DogParent’s requirements,. Fairy DogParents will provide the playbook on how to establish and run the chapter and then monitor and audit each chapter to ensure they remain within Fairy DogParents expectations and requirements.

Important information: The IRS 501c3 Guidelines require approval of any changes to our application. Laws vary per state on establishing an animal welfare charity and these must be vetted and better understood before we move forward. *Fairy DogParent’s logo and name are trademarked nationally and we ask no one use this should you decide to start a similar organization in your geography.
