A: All of the FDI Profit Enhancing Cloud Systems are based on standard Microsoft Off-The-Shelf WEB Cloud-Based products, using Custom WEB-Enabled Relational Database Management Application Systems. Typical Implantations of the Applications and Database are maintained and operated on Internet Attached MS IIS WEB Servers, typically Hosted by Public Service Providers. The Public-Based Applications access Public Cloud Sites via normal browser Internet access. BackOffice-Based Applications are accessed via Logon Name/Password firewalls. While all FDI Systems have been designed to provide individual Customization and Branding for the Client, the Applications are provided AS-IS, and therefore, additional investment shall be required for any specialized Customization.

Q: What is Cloud Computing?

Q: Do we get our own site?

A: Using Custom Cloud-Based Virtual processing scripts are executed on the server that return industry standard HTML pages to common WEB browsers. Certain BackOffice Applications require the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8 and above. WEB-Server Based scripts interact with the SQL-Based Database Server System to provide Real-Time Information. Automated eMail functions interact with the Hosting Facilities standard SMTP eMail Servers to support out-going eMails. Real-Time Screen manipulations are managed by scripting within the browser. The programming environment uses Standardized applications including VBScript, JavaScript, Server-Side Includes, SQL, HTML, and XML. Some systems require specific Client Provided 3rd-party applications to complete the Environment.

A: Yes – The client is responsible for procuring the leasing of both the Internet Domain(s) and Hosting Facilities. FDI assists and can facilitate the selection (if required) of the Domain Name(s), Domain Hosting, Domain Zone Configuration, WEB Hosting Site configuration, System Application Uploading, Customized Configuration, Testing and Implementation. Client shall contract directly for the Domain(s) and WEB Hosting by the Suppliers. Multiple Domain Names, directed to the same site, are supported.


A: All Public Cloud Sites are open and available to the Public-at-Large. Security measures have been incorporated into Public Accessed Applications to elevate potential misuse. All Public-Generated information Must be Approved by the Client prior to being displayed on the Public WEB Sites. Significant testing while existing Production Systems, on the Internet for over 10-years, have ensured site security. While most Public Hosting Facilities provide some level of Denial-of-Service protection, there are certain events that are difficult to defend against, even for if your company’s name is Bank of America. BackOffice-Based Applications may be provided via Secured Links and Logon Name/Password firewalls, while incorporating sophisticated Application-Level and Session-Level constructs that provide user unalterable constructs, thereby ensuring that only Authorized Access is available to the remote user. The Client may invest in additional protection via SSL-Port Access Support and the implementation of Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Virtual Thin-Client technologies that will add additional layers of Access Security and Encryption to All Communicated Transactions.



Q: How Secure are FDI Cloud Systems?

Q: How Much do FDI Cloud System Cost?

A: Because FDI Systems are based on Microsoft Industry Standard Platforms, operational costs are minimized. While pricing may very, depending upon specific implementations, FDI has Client systems operating on WEB Hosted Sites averaging $85.00USD per Year and Single .com Domain Names which are leased for $8.00USD per Year. Additional Features, like SSL, Large Quantity of eMail Addresses and Domain Names, and Extra Disk Space Volume, and Monthly Data Transfer Volume (beyond base hosting package) are typically provided at nominal yearly fees. FDI shall certify that the Domain and WEB Hosting Platforms conforms to FDI Application Standards, prior to implementation.


A: Specific delivery of a live and operational system is dependent upon the results of an initial Requirements Evaluation and Report that shall be conducted on all system delivery requests. This Requirements process protects both the Client and FDI by ensuring that all aspects of the Clients Business needs shall be addressed and that it is clear what is and is not to be supported by the system; thereby, ensuring that there are no misunderstandings. Based on the Client’s timely response, to questions provided by FDI staff, this process can be accomplished typically within a business week. If there is minimal (standard) customization and Client branding, most AS-IS Systems can be provided within a 30-day period, dependent upon, FDI assisted, Client Domain registration and Hosting procurement and Client Submission of legal images and Client-Centric WEB page text boilerplate. A specific Project Plan, Implementation Time-Line, and Budget will be delivered with the FDI generated Implementation Requirements Report.



Q: How quickly is an FDI Cloud System available?

Q: What if, to meet our Business Requirements, customized changes to the basic AS-IS FDI provided system are required?

A: As a result of the FDI lead Requirements Analysis and Documentation Deliverable, it shall be determined if there is any Customization required to the base AS-IS application. Specific Additional Components (if any) are Identified, Described in Detail, and Budgeted for Level-of-Effort and Investment. FDI staff shall review the information and at the Client’s discretion, facilitation of the enhancements and customization shall commence. FDI Cloud Systems are designed to integrate specific information and images via BackOffice interactive database maintenance screens, allowing the Client to Manage their Cloud dynamically, themselves.


A: FDI in-house developed systems are based on Advanced Computerized Business Operational Technologies and Techniques, which inherently provide Business Productivity Enhancements, when applied appropriately. All of the Systems incorporate, as a foundation, Microsoft Off-The-Shelf platforms consisting of IIS Server Version 6.0 and above and Windows Internet Explorer Version 8.0 and above. Unique coding techniques employed within the systems provided for very fast and efficient performance, even at moderate Internet speeds, while incorporating the Best-of-Industry Business Computing techniques.



Q: What makes FDI Cloud Systems so Unique?

Q: What is the Typical Implementation Process?

A: First a detailed Implementation Requirements Document is generated with the combined efforts of both Client and FDI Staff. Based on the Client Ratified Business Needs Assessment, a detailed Implementation Plan is Established, by FDI Staff, comprising of the expected Level-of-Effort, Implementation Timeline, and associated Investment Requirements. Typical elements of an integration of a new system Database-Instance includes, but is not limited to, Establishment of the Domain and WEB Hosting Sites, Integration of Client Specific Information, Integrated Tables Data Establishment, and Baseline Database Established on a Development Server. Next, Transfer the Readied System from the Development Server to the Production Server and initiate Pre-Production Testing. Once the system has been Ratified by the Client the system is placed into Production. On-Going Training and Support shall be provided based on the Implementation Agreement(s).

A: FDI provides their Cloud System based on a variety of Investment Plans that include One-Time Implementation Delivery value and a nominal monthly support retainer. Other FDI systems are Leased based on Database-Instance Implementation Base Pricing and a Per-Seat Yearly Engagement.
