Position is responsible for maintaining and repairing County vehicles and heavy equipment, including cutting, welding and fabricating metal alloys; testing, analyzing and inspection repairs: planning/implementing maintenance schedules; providing emergency field assistance.

Qualifications: High School graduation or equivalent, plus two years specialized training, plus 1-2 years experience operating and repairing heavy equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. Must have Diesel Mechanic certification, Commercial Vehicle Inspector Certification and possess valid MN Commercial Driver License within 6 months of hire.

This is a Grade Level 11 position with a hiring range of $39,486.96 to $42,502.71 DOQ. Red Cross Babysitter Training will be offered Saturday, Oct.27th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Freeborn-Mower Chapter of the Red Cross, Albert Lea office. A generous grant from the United Way of Freeborn County enables residents of Freeborn County to receive this free training by simply making a monetary contribution of any amount to the American Red Cross.Class size is limited, and another session is scheduled Saturday, Nov. 10th. The class normally costs $85. Availability is limited---register now by contacting Chris Avery at the Freeborn-Mower Chapter, 507-373-4544.For over 30 years Red Cross Babysitter Training has provided participants aged 11-15 with confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation.
