FCCLA Dress Code
Why a Dress Code?
• Conference is an excellent opportunity for members to convey to others the positive and professional image of FCCLA
• Our leadership conference gives you practice dressing for success
What’s Appropriate?
• Males• Polo or oxford shirt
(long or short sleeved)-preferably red, black or white
• Dress slacks-preferably black or khakis pants (no shorts)
• Dress shoes
• Females• Polo, blouse or oxford
shirt (long or short sleeved)-preferably red, black, or white
• Dress slacks-preferably black or khakis pants (no capris or shorts)
• Skirts (no shorter than 2 inches above the knee)
• Dress shoes or sandals (not flip flops)
Clothes should be clean, neatly pressed, and fit properly, neither tight nor baggy.

Business Accessories
• Small jewelry• Keep makeup
conservative and natural looking
• Keep your choices simple
What Not to Wear at an FCCLA Event
• Jeans or any denim• T-Shirts• Athletic wear• Tank tops/camisoles without a blouse or sweater over the top• Flip flops• Pajama pants (in areas other than your room)• Strapless anything• Skin-tight or revealing clothing• Midriff-baring clothing• Swimwear (in areas other than the pool)• Clothing with printing that is suggestive, obscene or promote illegal
substances

Adviser Attire
• Business casual• Dresses, skirts (no more than 2 inches above the knee),
slacks, jackets, sweaters• FCCLA logo polo, oxford, jacket• NO denim, jeans, t-shirts, athletic wear, flip flops
