March of Dimes Walk for Babies

• Saturday, April 23, 2016 • Everbank Stadium • 8:30 – 10:30 • Get permission slip after the meeting • 3 service hours

• Must join FBLA team to participate •  Link is on Edmodo and on FBLA website

• Between Jeans on Wednesday and Car Wash: $1,687 donation

Several members still need to come to Room 505 to pick up your t-shirt. We do have a few extras: $10

•  Save Around Jacksonville Coupon Book •  Coupons expire December 31, 2016 •  $20/book for over $5000 in coupons •  FBLA gets $10 for every book sold •  Service hours will be awarded for time spent selling

the books if you sell more than one •  Sign out books after the meeting •  Responsible for books and/or money •  Money due Friday, May 6

2016-2017 Officer Selection Process

•  Our goal for next year is to have FBLA become more student oriented, with the new officers taking more control over how things are done and relieving some of the duties for Mrs. Kelly. •  The Executive Committee, with this new goal in

mind, believe that these new officers will dedicate their time and effort to FBLA to make it even more successful in the next school year.

2016-2017 Officer Introductions

•  Historian—Anna Perkins •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Take pictures at all FBLA activities •  If sick, make sure that someone covers the event/activity •  Create a PowerPoint presentation for the end-of-year banquet

that includes pictures and appropriate music


•  Reporter—Molly Bias •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Write at least one article per quarter throughout the year

highlighting and promoting FBLA activities


•  Treasurer—Kayla Clary •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Collect all dues and money from members and keep accurate

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Plan and implement fundraising activities •  Promote fundraising activities to all members •  Keep accurate records of items sold and/or money collected

from each member


•  Vice President of Communications—Alexander Wajsman •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Notify all members of each meeting and FBLA activities •  Work with the Secretary to ensure that all FBLA activities are

promoted throughout the school •  Work with the Vice President of Community Service and

Secretary to ensure that all service projects are being promoted to members and the school


•  Vice President of Membership—Camden Padgett •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Recruit members for the first two months of the school year •  Keep an accurate record of all members •  Work with the Treasurer to collect all membership dues •  Provide sign-in sheets for each meeting •  Keep an accurate record of member attendance


•  March of Dimes Chairperson—Mason Holder •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Plan and implement a fund drive for the March of Dimes •  Work with the Vice President of Community Service, Vice

President of Communications, and Secretary to ensure that the planned fund drive and Walk are being promoted to members and the school

•  Form a committee that includes FBLA members to help with the fund drive project


•  Autism Speaks Chairperson—Damali Levers •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Plan and implement a fund drive for Autism Speaks •  Work with the Vice President of Community Service, Vice

President of Communications, and Secretary to ensure that the planned fund drive and Walk are being promoted to members and the school

•  Form a committee that includes FBLA members to help with the fund drive project


•  Vice President of Competition—Brittany Nievinski •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Work closely with and assist Mrs. Kelly with District competition

preparations •  Keep accurate records of the competitions that members sign up

for •  Make sure that each member has the opportunity to sign up for

District competition


•  Vice President of Community Service—Seth Seidner •  Attend all meetings •  Attend all FBLA sponsored activities •  Attend all FBLA sponsored community service projects •  Work cooperatively with Mrs. Kelly and all other officers in planning

and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Work cooperatively with the Autism Speaks and March of Dimes

chairpersons to coordinate successful fund drives for each •  Plan and coordinate a fund drive for the State sponsored charity •  Plan and coordinate a book drive for Southwoods Elementary •  Plan and coordinate Westminster Woods Valentine project •  Work with the Vice President of Communications and Secretary to

ensure that all service projects are being promoted to members and the school

planning and coordinating all FBLA activities •  Preside at all meetings in the absence of the President and the

Vice President •  Work cooperatively with the Treasurer and Vice Presidents in

collecting and documenting all funds for the club •  Advise the President on the orderly conduct of business,

according to the FBLA Handbook
