EVALUATION COMMISSION

ARTICLE 4 – a) Candidate Evaluation Committee: It is a commission which is assembled before each academic term in order to do the

entrance exams of graduate school candidates and to detrmine the scientific order of the candidates, taking into consideration of the

department by the Institute Administration Board; which consists of at least five permanent and two substitute lecturers among the

lecturers of of the department, if not of a closely related departmen for each department or program and/or of prelectors who owns a

doctoral or qualification of art.

EVALUATION

ARTICLE 7 – (1) The overall pass mark of all candidates who apply for the master's and doctoral degree programs is evaluated by the

candidate evaluation committee calculating 50% of ALES score, 25% of Bachelor's and/or Master's degree GPA, and 25% of the entrance

exam.

(2) The overall pass mark of the non-thesis programs is calculated with the 80% of ALES and 20% of Bachelor's GPA.

(3) All department board members are accepted to the entance exam on condition of not asking any questions. Only the candidate

evaluation committee is in charge of asking questions and grading theentrance exam. During the decision process, listeners who are not

part pf the candidate evaluation committee leave the room.

(4) The overall pass mark for the programs of qualification of arts is calculated Sanatta yeterlik programlarında genel başarı notu ALES

puanının %50’si, lisans ve/veya yüksek lisans genel not ortalamasının %25’i ve giriş sınavı sonucunun %25’i dikkate alınarak hesaplanır.

*Thte requirements from the candidates of the Architectural Design in the Architecture Department for the master's written exam and

interview are as follows:

1. PORTFOLIO consisting of school projects in the undergraduate level and proffessional works

2. Drawing materials and sketch paper for the written exam.(50X70 )

(Reference letter is not required.)
