You are what you live. You are the air you breathe, the clothes you wear, and the walls you live within. You are what you make of

your surroundings and what they

make of you. We

at Velvet Touch Trends,

help you create a world around you that truly reflects your identity, your persona, your style. We help you fashion your walls as an extension of your lifestyle. As a

famous designer said…, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses

alone. Fashion is in the sky and on the street. It is in the

ideas we cultivate, the way we live and in what is happening around us."

At Velvet

Touch Trends, we believe

freedom to fashion your walls. As much as we

make sure, you feel at home every time you walk into it, we also

take care that every time a guest walks into your home, he knows

that he has entered your personal style

spectrum.

Walls fashioned so

delicately, that every aspect of it

becomes a true reflection of your personality - just like a sari

reflects ethnic regalia, a dusty pastel shirt emulates your love for the retro,

a crisp minimalistic shirt makes you look chic, a chunky bracelet screams for the

rock star within you, an oversized shirt reflects the free spirited bohemian

that you are or a classic pair of pinstriped trousers would be your choice of a prim evening out,

you have a choice with your

walls too!

Every culture has a flamboyant ethnicity and our Ethnic walls are meant for larger than life opulence. Warm colors with bold ethnic motifs and symmetric textures that form a pattern make sure you are never far away from the opulent history of India.

This trend is a blast from the past, only with a modern twist. Bold colors amalgamate with geometric patterns to complete the playful spirit of the everlasting Retro era.

As we relive the tub-thumping era of the Rock, let’s pay homage to strong lines clashing against each other, dark colors that mean no play, and brute texturing on the walls once again!

When was the last time the sari went out of fashion? It never was and never will be. It is the

most deconstructed form of clothing, so perfect in its simplicity that there is no need to complicate it.

As designer RAHUL MISHRA likes to call it,

“the timeless, the pearl from the ocean that people have sought

since time immemorial”, Classic is the quintessence of all

genres across timelines.

Classic walls, fashioned by Velvet Touch Trends transpire humility in design, simplicity in lifestyle, uniformity of thought and strength of character. Simple patterns in colors that are easy on the eyes, strokes that blend in with everything around and textures that are pleasant to touch, is what we have in mind for the Classic connoisseur. Universal styles that can mould themselves into a period environment, a contemporary ambiance or a futuristic format is Classic from us to you! These walls go well with unfussy, functional furniture with soft edges that blend into a uniform background and upholstery that is as much a part of the background as of the foreground. All elements seamlessly blend together for a uniform Classic appeal.

Don’t we all love the perfectly tailored dinner jacket or that little black dress with its fine sculpting lines, such that it effortlessly makes the body within look

perfectly glamorous? What is it about this kind of artistry that is so enamoring to the viewers? They are

“striking but never vulgar” says designer NACHIKET BARVE.

Chic always stands out in a surreally perfect way for it is contemporary and strong.

For those who are well traveled with a global-local outlook, and an ability to combine different eras, styles and nuances in a confident personal aesthetic style of their own, Velvet Touch Trends has fashioned walls that are contemporary, elegant and stylish. Muted tones in homogenous textures, with no jarring contrasts are for those who love Chic styling. These walls compliment raw silk drapes as honestly as they enhance the chrome finished minimalistic furniture in a living space. Chic environments have a very clean and uncluttered appeal, with hand picked avant-garde furniture in striking forms and colors becoming masterpieces of the room against a neutrally Chic wall.

“We all have a wild side, a side to us that wants to rebel and show itself,

free of all boundaries” says designer LIL SHILPA as she describes the

spirit of impermanence and boundlessness that is characteristic of a carefree mind! Like a gypsy,

who craves change and detests boundaries, the Bohemian mindset has been the centre

of all things that make life beautiful.

Bold colours, free flowing ideas, cross-cultural influences, unconventional patterns and impulsive combinations give birth to the Bohemian style created by Velvet Touch Trends. Non-conformism in the form of dramatic contrasts, larger than life bold patterns and absolute absence untouched voids on the walls is the little Bohemia we have created for the uninhibited souls who live life like a perfect dream. Albeit strong, wild and loud, with this trend we make sure there is method in the madness! Old books, brick-a-brack collectibles from all over the world, mismatched yet comfortable furniture, lace fabrics, wooden chests and more come together to clutter the space as they form the living space of a well travelled vagabond.

“Ethnicity reflects the inherent roots of arts, crafts and

traditions of a specific culture” says designer SWAPNIL SHINDE.

And, it is inevitable for our culture not to have an impact on the way we live, dress or fashion

our homes, even if it is in a modern context. Across all cultures – be it Japanese, Chinese, African

or Indian, bright colors and elaborate patterns have always defined the history of clothing or interiors.

Ethnic is rich and opulent, bright and shining just like the past of any culture. Hence, Ethnic walls fashioned by Velvet Touch Trends are inspired from the grandeur of the past, and flaunt bold floral motifs, whiplash curves and rich colors. These walls are meant to support dark wood furniture with heavy embellishments, antique collectibles, velvet upholstery and royal doors with brass fittings. Ethnic, to us is meant for those who want to preserve the long lost grandeur of our regal past.

Don’t we all love the checkered flapper shirts, the strumming of a guitar and the neon lights

that filled the rooms of endless underground concerts? Let’s accept it – we are never going to

get over the Retro era. Brightness and madness, polyester leggings and poly-vinyl table tops, polka dots and moon shaped couches defined this era of psychedelia! As designer ANUPAMA DAYAL rightly

puts it “Interestingly the true spirit of Retro goes hand in hand with modernism. It welcomes tweaks

and quirks on classic vintage. This explains its ever

resounding relevance!”

If there is one thing that gives an adrenalin pump, it is anti-establishment. Sharp

and dark, improper and perfect, hard and impermeable, torn and then sewn together

is what the king of anti-establishment

– Rock means to us. “Politicizing yourself was the norm, non

conformity the mantra, complex amalgamation became the order”

is how designer ARJUN SALUJA likes to define the cult that was called Rock – an era

that changed the course of music, art, fashion and interiors for the years to come!

Inspired by the loud musical style of this cult, Velvet Touch Trends brings to you walls that are truly bold in colors, razor sharp in patterns and tough to feel. Graffiti spattered walls with disorderly lines come together to make a room that’s waiting for an underground cult movement to begin. Hand painted patterns encourage you to lose your inhibitions and voice your thoughts – however bizarre they might be. Fill the space with modern furniture, grey tiles or dark wooden flooring to complete the aura.
