What they came up with was a republic, a system off the Dutch model of government. A system of power from the bottom up meaning we the people have the power a system where you have a choice a system where everybody will be heard and the government will be restrained by the power of the constitution. I’m gonna give you an example, let say the United States was a mansion and you had servants (politicians) would you let your servant dictate to you what you can and can not do in your own house.
