SOCIAL GROUPSMedia has different social groups represented in their own unique way. For my film I have focused on the social group of Age, Class and Gender .

How I Represented Age;

My film has 3 university students or the premium youth age (18-25), after which I have shown middle age group(25-45) and teenager . My film’s lead actress is a university student, for my film I portrayed her as an active hardworking girl who hangs out with her friends is easily interactive and is simple in her own way . Through this her age is easily represented along with her demeanor and hair which is tied up in a high pony to show her age around (18 to 25) for her audience to easily know of.The other university student is a friend of the lead actress which is also shown to be around her age along with her dressing, demeanor and interaction with the lead actress. I have also shown her with a high pony however she wears more accessory as compared to the lead and is shown more active and lively through her dialogues.The main male lead is also a university student he is shown wearing casual clothing which gives up a sporty look and is shown around the main leads age along with his interaction and demeanor.

SOCIAL GROUPS Side character in my film who’s a customer is just shown in the background his

age is in the middle age group as he’s shown minding his own business and eating food .Along with him my main leads manager is also shown as a middle age women who’s not only mature but is caring for others she has an aura around her and her dressing can lead to think that she is around the age of 27 and above. Another customer also around the manager’s age is shown exiting the restaurant she is dressed and well mannered and calm which represents her age.Lastly a teenager is shown who has an interaction with the main lead he is shown as bold casually dressed and more attentive towards the phone even when he receives his order.

How I Represented GenderGender is represented with the clothing and accessories of the characters that is the female gender is shown wearing necklaces and clothes that are of vibrant color example the manager she wears yellow color and the main lead wears pink shirt underneath the apron whereas the male gender are wearing more of dark colors like the main lead wears black clothes and the male gender is wearing watches they are also shown active on there mobiles. Male genders have a strong demeanor whereas the female’s are shown as caring and have a calm demeanor.

SOCIAL GROUPSHow I Represented Class And Status

Since this film was of 2 minutes and the setting is basically a restaurant. The representation of class and status was difficult as the customers and overall all the characters get less screen timings. However I showed the class and status of the main character Emma as lower middle class as she’s working part time to help her parents financially this is shown through her simple dressing and a simple demeanor even though she’s the popular girl during her work she's dressed lightly with her hair tied back. The rich customer who has a screen timing with the manager when she's leaving we can see through her manner of walking and clothing that she's from upper-class the clothing which portrays this is the shawl she has covered around her neck. The working class is shown using the Smartphone the middle age customer who's in the background represents this as he minds his own business. The customer who has dialogues with Emma is shown as middle class as he's dressed casually and is also using touch phone.
