Christ is alive! Today, we are witnesses to this amazing act of love.

Give thanks to the Lord, for God’s love endures forever!

What does it mean that “on the third day” Jesus “rose again from the

dead”?

That our Lord could not be held by the power of death. Having died

on the cross, he appeared to his followers, triumphant from the grave,

in a new, exalted kind of life. In showing them his hands and his feet,

the one who was crucified revealed himself to them as the Lord and

grown, beards have come or gone, hair color and

styles have changed…it is TIME! We plan to print

the next directory in June. Families and individuals

have these choices: Keep the same photo we are

office (office@fpctn.org). With Easter here, you might also consider

getting a directory photo taken this morning in front of our flower-filled

cross. We will have several folks available to take your photo, before and

by Harrison Akins, entitled "Western Misconceptions about Islam and

Muslim History in the World.” Harrison, the son of FPC members Darrell

and Deb Akins, is a PhD candidate in Political Science, and a Graduate

Research Fellow in the Baker Center for Public Policy at the University

of Tennessee. His writings have appeared in several outlets including

Washington Post, BBC, AL Jazeera, Huffington Post, India Times and the

Guardian. Reservations are needed by April 28. Call or e-mail John

Parlor We are studying the book Jesus, Pope Francis and

a Protestant Walk Into a Bar by Paul Rock and Bill

Tammeus. This book and its study questions

provide a thoughtful examination of Jesus’ example

and legacy, as well as an honest look at the

Protestant faith, invites reflection on the heart of

Christianity and how we relate to our fellow
