FARMING ON THE NILEBy Jake Trauth
Where Farmers usually farmed in
the Black land where there was fertile soil.
Farmers Farmers usually had a family. The family
worked together to plant their crops.
This is a picture of two farmers working together.
Crops Egyptians planted many crops including
wheat and barley.
This a photo of wheat.
Houses Most Farmers were not wealthy and lived in mud
brick houses.
This a model of what one might look like.
Animals Animals were really important to farmers
because they helped them do jobs and plow the fields. They had goats, ducks, geese, pigs, and cows.
Seasons Farmers had three seasons. Inundation,
Emergence, and Harvest. Inundation was when the Nile flooded. Emergence was when the water receded and there was rich soil. The last is Harvest when the crops came in. They believed that the god Hapi flooded the Nile he was happy with them.
Summary Farmers worked together
with their family to pick crops. They worked together to get the things they need.
