FAQ – AmBonus Rewards Redemption with Air Asia BIG Loyalty Program

1. What is BIG?

BIG is a global loyalty program. It’s a fast track rewards program where you can earn loyalty points (BIG Points)

for FREE AirAsia flights. Earn more BIG Points by spending at our preferred partners worldwide and start

redeeming for AirAsia flights and other exciting rewards.

2. How do I apply for BIG?

Cardmembers can sign up as a BIG Shot at www.airasiabig.com.

3. What is a BIG Shot?

Everyone who has BIG Account/Air Asia account is identified as BIG Shot.

4. What is a BIG Shot ID?

BIG Shot ID is the unique ID number assigned to each BIG Shot to earn loyalty points (BIG Points).

5. What are BIG Points?

BIG Points are loyalty points you earn when you purchase AirAsia tickets or spend with our selected BIG

partners.

6. I am an AmBank credit cardmember, how do I redeem my AmBonus Points for BIG Points?

Cardmembers need to complete the AmBonus Redemption Form with details of your BIG Shot ID and fax/mail

the form to us. Once received, we will process your request and the BIG Points will be credited to your BIG Shot

ID within 3 working days.

7. What if I do not have a BIG Shot ID for the AmBonus Points redemption?

Cardmembers will need to first sign up for a BIG Shot at www.airasiabig.com and with the BIG Shot ID, you can

then submit the redemption request to us.

8. How do I check and redeem my BIG Points?

You can view and redeem your BIG Points when you login to the AirAsia BIG website.

9. I received an email asking me to verify my email address. Why do I need to do that and how do I do it?

You must verify your email address for future correspondence.

To verify your email address, simply click on the link in the email and follow the instructions. If this doesn't work,

you may need to cut and paste the link into your web browser.

If you encounter problems validating your email address, please contact AirAsia BIG.

10. When I click on login at www.airasiabig.com, what should I enter as my E-mail ID?

The E-mail ID requested would be your e-mail address as registered with AirAsia BIG.

11. Will my BIG Points expire?

Your BIG Points are valid for 36 months from the date it was credited to your account.

12. Can I get BIG Points for flights purchased for my friends and family using my BIG Shot ID?

Each BIG Shot ID earns BIG Points only on flights taken by the individual BIG Shot. Encourage your friends and

family to sign up for a BIG Account so they can also enjoy a variety of great offers from Air Asia and BIG

partners!

13. How do I earn BIG Points for AirAsia flights?

You may only start earning BIG Points for any flight purchase once you are a BIG Shot

When you fly with Air Asia, you can earn BIG Points by following the steps below:-

Upon purchase of Air Asia flight tickets

a. Select your preferred Departing and/or Return dates and click on search to proceed

b. Select the preferred flight, click the checkbox to accept the Terms and Conditions of Carriage and Fare

Rules

c. If you have Special Needs, click Yes on the Special Needs radio button

d. Click Continue to proceed

e. Fill in your Contact Details

f. There will be a box that would ask you to fill in your BIG Shot ID.

g. If you have forgotten your BIG Shot ID, you can click on the link that says “Lookup my BIG Shot ID” and

follow the instructions to provide your BIG Email ID and your Last Name as provided when you applied

for your BIG Card. If the information is accurate, your BIG Shot ID will appear for you to copy and paste it

to the Guest Details Screen

If you have forgotten to enter your BIG Shot ID when you purchased your flight, click here.

You will receive your BIG Points five working days after your departure date.

You earn 1 BIG Point for every MYR 4 spent on AirAsia flights-only purchase [with no add ons]

You earn 1 BIG Point for every MYR 2 spent on AirAsia flights + Add Ons

Add On services = Hot seats, baggage, meal, AirAsia Insure, and comfort kit

14. I forgot to insert my BIG Shot ID when I purchased my Air Asia Ticket. How do I earn BIG Points for that flight?

*This is only true for flight yet to be taken. For flight flown, customer needs to submit a BIG Points claim form

within 30 days from flight departure date

Do not worry. You can still earn your BIG Points. What you can do is follow these simple steps:

Earning BIG Points after purchasing Air Asia flight tickets

1) Go to Manage My Bookings in the Air Asia website

2) Click on "Modify" for the flight that you wish to insert your BIG ID

3) Click on Earn BIG points that will be displayed on your left of the screen

4) Fill up your BIG Shot ID or click “Lookup BIG Shot ID”

5) Click submit to retrieve your BIG Shot ID

6) Copy your BIG Shot ID and paste it in the BIG Shot ID box.

You will receive your BIG Points five working days after your departure date.

You earn 1 BIG Point for every MYR 4 spent on AirAsia flights-only purchase [with no add ons]

You earn 1 BIG Point for every MYR 2 spent on AirAsia flights + Add Ons

Add On services = Hot seats, baggage, meal, AirAsia Insure or comfort kit

Note: You may only start earning BIG Points for any flight purchase once you are a BIG Shot

15. I booked several AirAsia flights last year for this year's travel and the travel date is after the date that I have

successfully applied for BIG. Can I claim BIG Points for these flights?

*Customers can claim BIG Points for their flights within 30 days from the departure date. If they have already

travelled and exceed the 30 days count, they are not able to claim for BIG Points

Yes. You can still earn the BIG Points by following the below steps: -

1. Update your BIG Shot ID at 'Manage my booking' prior your departure date

2. However, if you have already travelled on those flights, you can logon to BIG and submit a claim BIG

Points webform within 30 days from your departure date.

16. I tried to insert my BIG Shot ID in "Manage my bookings" in the Air Asia web page but I was prompted with an

error "Invalid ID/Name". What should I do?

In order to be able to insert your BIG Shot ID into your AirAsia flight ticket booking, you need to ensure that your

given name and surname under your AirAsia My Profile at www.airasia.com<http://www.airasia.com> the same

as of the first and last name entered into your AirAsia flight booking.

We would suggest for you to update your name under your AirAsia Profile by following the below steps:

1) Login to AirAsia website

2) Choose "My Profile"

3) Click "View and Edit My Profile" and then "Edit Profile"

4) Ensure your Given Name and Family/Surname match with your last name and first name entered for your

AirAsia flight booking.

6) Click "Submit" to make the changes.

Once the changes done, you should be able to insert your BIG Shot ID into the booking.
