Narrative: Passion. Determination. Persistence. These are the traits need to become a successful professional football player. Narrative: Are you tired of listening to your friends and co-workers talking about their superior football knowledge? By following four easy steps, you can greatly improve your chances of shifting the bragging rights into your favor. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Dissolve

Narrative: So you’re currently drafting your team with the rest of your league. The person ahead of you just took that Pro Bowl quarterback in the first round. Unless you want to be playing that person in a consolation game at the end of the year… don’t do that. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Dissolve

Narrative: Running backs and wide receivers are worth their weight in gold in terms of fantasy football, so draft running backs and wide receivers heavily. This should be your main focus when drafting, aiming to have four or five of each of these two positions on your team. If you take any other position within the first 7 rounds other than a running back or receiver, it should be for a hybrid tight end. All of the other positions can be taken in later rounds to fill out the remainder of your team, with your kicker and defense being saved for two of the last three picks. Narrative: Now the draft is over and you have your team selected. This is going to be the group to take you to the championship, right? Wrong. Let’s face it; none of us know how the season is going to play out. Injuries and other variables can’t be foreseen in August. Most championship teams usually consist of a great amount of players that the manager did not initially draft. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Dissolve

Narrative: It is very important to pay attention to the trading block and available free agents. Don’t be afraid to start looking for free agents within the first couple of weeks. If great productivity is being shown from a player that is a free agent, pick him up to replace one of your weaker players. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Fade

Narrative: You drafted one of your favorite players or a person from your favorite team. You should start them all the time, right? No. A large mistake made by fantasy football owners is letting your personal favorites dictate your fantasy football team. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Dissolve

Narrative: To be a successful manager, you must be unbiased. This also goes for bigger names in the league. Just because a guy has three different types of commercials doesn’t mean he is catching three touchdowns this week. Try not to get hung up on big names, whether it is your personal favorite or league favorites. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Fade

Narrative: For my team to be successful, I only need to keep up with my fantasy league’s news, right? (Shakes head no) To assist you on a week-to-week basis, be sure to check injury reports. Injuries to your players aren’t the only injuries that can affect your football team in various ways. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Dissolve

Narrative: For example, an injury to an offensive lineman on your running back’s team can negatively affect his output. On the other hand, a receiver on your team may benefit from an injury that occurred to another receiver on his actual team. It is important to scan through the listed injury reports to ensure better management on your part. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Fade

Narrative: You now have the tools you need to assist you on your way to victory. You are ready to put out the best team possible for any matchup you may be facing. Now go win that championship and become the fantasy football guru of your circle. Music: DLZ – TV on the Radio (instrumental) Transition: Fade
