INITIAL IDEAS.
After our briefing today we were introduced to a new project. This project commissions us to make a 1 minutes long animation explaining the life of 1 of 4 scenarios. At the moment there are tones of ideas flowing through my head as to what I can do. This freedom is inviting and really relieving. The four scenarios consist of the Life Circle of
- Malaria - Hook Worms
- Influenza - Slime Mould.
At this time I have leant heavily towards Influenza, but I also like the slightly less harmful Slime Mold, in terms of the audience I would probably aim for a more cutesy feel so I would make my animation for year 6 -7s. Or possibly year 8s.

KEY WORDS

IDEAS
The initial idea I have is choosing the Influenza because it seems that everyone is getting ill recently, also I took history at A-Level and we touched on a few pandemics to do with influenza and other illnesses. This topic needs to be approached from the scientific, but also the artist way. So I want to make an animation, a 2-D one that describes/explains the process of the Flu. Sort of like a CBBC style cartoon that works on a 2-D platform. For example I was looking at creepy and cute styles like Limbo, or something alone the lines of Arthur, or Phineas and Ferb.

IDEA (CONTINUED)
So my plan is to create and animation that is based on a girl/boy/man/woman who is sick and doesn't want to go to school/work and think that they have the flu. When a secondary character says that they wouldnt be and reveals the true nature and life cycle of the cells that make up the virus plus a little bit of historical factors about the pandemic. I rather liked when Dr Kappa referred to the Virus cell. A Sweet Chestnut. So I am to make my animation that is sweet but at the same time balances the concept that this virus is important and can be very deadly if not treated right.
