A self-portrait is an image of a person created by himself or herself. Self-portraits can reveal a great deal about a persons feelings, strengths, weaknesses, talents, gifts, character traits, circumstances, point of view.Your assignment is to create your own self-portrait. You may use pencil, crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, the computer. This is your opportunity to be creative. You could also use magazine clippings, clip art, decorative papers, or any other material available to you. Your self-portrait should be a reflection of your individuality. Your canvas should be unlined paper, the color of your choice, but it should be no larger than 8 x 11 inches in size. (If you need paper, please let me know.) Of course, your self-portrait should be neat and effectively presented. It should show qualify effort, thought, care, and evidence of higher level thinking.
