  • 3. Hovhannes Adamian Hovhannes (Ivan) Abgari Adamian was an Armenian engineer, an author of more than 20 inventions. The first experimental color television was shown in London in 1928 based on Adamian's tricolor principle,and he is recognized as one of the founders of color television.

  • 5. Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs Jobs was an American marketer and inventor, who was the cofounder chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. Through Apple, he is widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields, transforming one industry after another, from computers and smartphones to music and movies.
  • 6. Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs Im sure that you have a question: What have the Jobs has to do with Armenia? Jobs was born in San Francisco, California. He was adopted at birth by Paul Reinhold Jobs and Clara Jobs, an Armenian Americans
  • 7. Viktor Hambardzumyan Viktor Hambardzumyan was a Soviet Armenian scientist, and one of the founders of theoretical astrophysics. Hambardzumyan was the President of the International Astronomical Union, was twice elected the President of the International Council of Scientific Unions. Hambardzumyan was the founder of Byurakan Observatory. Theres a minor planet named after him (Ambartsumian,1905)

Ivan Knunyants Ivan Lyudvigovich Knunyants, was a Soviet chemist of Armenian origin, academic of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, a Major General and engineer, who significantly contributed to the advancement of Soviet chemistry. He made more than 200 inventions, many of which used in the Soviet industry.
  • 10. Luther George Simjian Luther George Simjian was an Armenian-American inventor of numerous devices and owner of over 200 patents. Inventions include Medical photography systems, Autofocus camera, Automatic Developing machine, Automatic Teller Machine (ATM), Military flight simulator, Postage Meter and many other things In 1939 Simjian had the idea to build the Bankmatic Automated Teller Machine, probably his most famous invention.

Luther George Simjian Simjian founded several other companies in the following years and invented a number of very different devices and technologies, e. g. a teleprompter, medical ultrasound devices, a remote-controlled postage meter, a golf simulator and a meat tenderizer. He never ceased inventing in his laboratories in Fort Lauderdale. At the age of 92, he got his last patent on a process for improving the sound of wood for musical instruments, seven months before his death in 1997
  • 12. Giacomo Luigi Ciamician Giacomo Luigi Ciamician was an Italian photochemist of Armenian descent. Ciamcian was a nine-time Nobel prize nominee and an Italian senator. He was an early researcher in the area of photochemistry, where from 1900 to 1914 he published 40 notes, and 9 memoirs. He may be regarded as the father of the solar panel.

  • 14. Avie Tevanian Avadis "Avie" Tevanian is a former Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Apple Computer and a former Chief Software Technology Officer from. He is a member of the board of embedded software tools company Green Hills Software. Tevanian was responsible for setting company-wide software technology direction at Apple. At Apple, he was the primary figure in the development of Mac OS X. He is of Armenian descent.

Varazdat Kazanjian Dr. Varaztad Hovhannes Kazanjian is one of the great leaders responsible for the stature of plastic surgery as a highly respected surgical specialty. was an oral surgeon, of Armenian origin, who pioneered techniques for plastic surgery and is considered to be the founder of the modern practice of plastic surgery. He graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also coauthored the first concise book on plastic surgery. The achievements of this distinguished surgeon will indeed be remembered for years to come.

  • 18. Alenush Terian lenush Terin (November 9, 1920 March 4, 2011), was an Iranian astronomer and physicist and is called 'Mother of Modern Iranian Astronomy'. In 1964 Dr Terin became the first female Professor of Physics in Iran.

Herouni was an Armenian professor and scientist, member of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia in the fields of radio-physics, radioengineering, and radioastronomy. He was a head of the Antenna Systems chair (founded by him), in the State Engineering University of Yerevan, as well as the Radio physics Research Institute
  • 20. Lev Atamanov Lev Atamanov, born Levon Atamayan was a Soviet animated films director of Armenian descent. Atamanov was one of the foremost Soviet animation film directors and one of the founders of Soviet animation art. He is the director of the famous classics of Soviet animation .In his works Lev Atamanov subtly conveyed the national colouring of fairy tales and combined romantic elation in images of positive characters with warm and kind humor.
