Age Well Arrowhead

Light Housekeeping

Volunteers would assist clients with tasks that may include vacuuming, changing bed linens, mopping a floor, help to prepare a meal, laundry, etc.

Handy-person & Yard Care

Assist clients with things like painting, mowing the lawn, shoveling, fixing a railing near stairs, cleaning up a garage, etc.

Schedule: Days of the week and times are flexible based on the client & the volunteer’s schedules.

Location: Locations vary in Duluth, Hermantown and Proctor.

Age Requirement: Children with adult supervision should be age appropriate for the task. Volunteers 15 and older do not require adult supervision.

Meals on Wheels driver

Deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors and persons with disabilities.

Schedule: Weekdays

Location: Pick up is out of the Central Kitchen located in the Lincoln Community Center

Donation Drive Volunteer

Hand out flyers about CASDA and invite shoppers to purchase items on our shelter wish list. Accept and sort donations.

This activity involves tabling at volunteer, health, and college fairs about breast cancer awareness and services that Circle of Hope provides.

Clothes Gathering for Annual Sale

The volunteer would gather clothes for our gently used clothing sale from neighbors, friends and relatives. No age barrier.

Rhubarb Festival Baking Helper

Help chop rhubarb and bake a variety of rhubarb-based items for the Rhubarb festival.

Volunteer Camp Counselor

Camp Kitchigami is a summer Day Camp program for kids ages 4-14. Surrounded by towering pines, a creek perfect for exploring, a large field for games and countless hiking trails with stunning waterfalls, outdoor recreation at Camp Kitchigami is unlimited! Volunteers are needed to assist counselors with their camper group, set-up & take down of activities and assisting counselors with traditional camp activities (such as archery, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, hiking, art, nature activities and field games).

Schedule: June-August; Monday-Friday between 9am-1:00pm

Age Requirement: Minimum age to volunteer is 13.

Duluth Family YMCA

Miracle League Buddy

The Miracle League is a program that provides youth ages 4-19 with diverse abilities, an opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league. The Miracle League believes “Every Child Deserves a Chance to Play Baseball.” We’re looking for volunteers to serve as buddies for the kids in the program. Buddies assist Miracle League players so it could be anything from helping them at bat, get from base to base or even just cheering them on. Minimum age to volunteer is 8 (youth ages 8-12 must have an adult present).

Schedule: Saturday mornings at 10am (June-August)

Location: Miracle League Field (located near the Harrison Community Center in West Duluth)

Age Requirement: Minimum age with adult supervision- 8-12; without supervision- 13.
