This year it is even more significant given the challenges experienced by community members who live and work in close proximity to the two largest disposal sites. Early this year, persons in the wider corporate area as well as in the vicinity of Spanish Town Road, sections of St. Catherine (which includes the communities of Cooreville Gardens, Gregory Park, and Waterford) experienced smoke nuisance for several days as a result of a fire which was further exacerbated by the prevailing winds. In light of this, the NSWMA has organised this exposition in an effort to lend a helping hand to these persons.
