Dear Colleagues,

We are very happy to inform you that the Family Benefit Scheme of AIOS is growing well. The FBS-AIOS society started in 2004 and since then we have been growing steadily. The membership of FBS has now crossed 3900 and 139 families of the deceased FBS members have benefitted by this scheme. The death benefit started with Rs 50,000/- and in a span of 15 years we have reached 23 lakhs in terms of benefit provided to the families of a deceased FBS member. For the amount that a member pays yearly during his life time, 23 lakhs is a huge sum. With time as the membership will increase, the benefits will also increase and the yearly contribution from each member will keep on decreasing.

This society is unique in the sense that the money of the members is managed by the members themselves or their elected representative. There is no commercial organization involved in this. Hence whatever money is collected from the members it is used to provide the death benefit to the family of a deceased FBS member.

To make the FBS-AIOS society better, the managing committee of this society has come out with very good and unique schemes this year (2020) for the new and existing members in society. This makes the society dynamic as it is willing to bring changes that will suit our members. All these schemes have been launched following discussion of the feedback given by our own members as well as AIOS members keen to join the society.

We have started the exit scheme which includes short term and long term exit scheme. We have also th opened up a window period till 30 of June 2020 for including AIOS members who are between 49- 56

years of age. We will also provide complimentary registration for AIOC 2021 to be held at Kolkata to the first 50 members who join under this scheme. We have also made joining of young members easier by removing the mandatory clause of a certificate by a physician regarding their health for all those who are less than 40 years old. They only have to sign a self-declaration regarding their health, the format of which has been uploaded on the website. It will make their joining FBS much easier than before. The details of these schemes have been put in this newsletter.

And the most important thing is that the benefit is provided to all the family members without any hassle and without much paper work. Currently we do direct money transfer to the account of the beneficiary and the money is available in their account within 10-14 days of their application.

Friends, This a mutual help scheme, which is run by the members for the members. It is unique scheme whereby your contribution helps to secure for the future of the family of yours and your colleagues.

How to Become FBS-AIOS Member

Procedure of enrollment (for offline Membership):

A ratified Life Member of AIOS qualified under the eligibility criteria shall apply on the prescribed application form along with the following documents as annexures. The duly filled in Application form along with the admission fee as per the age of the member (at the time of making the DD) in the form of a DD should be made in the name of “FBS AIOS”.

Ÿ The member shall give a “Self declaration as notarized affidavit on a Rs.10 bond” to the effect that he/she did not suffer from any major ailments in the Past like acute disease of Heat, Kidney, Lungs, Liver, Brain, any malignancy or having any of these diseases now and did not undergo any major surgery for the above mentioned ailments previously.
