As you’re aware, we were On the Road Again and have beenexploring the Southeastern tip of Panay Island in the Province ofCapiz. Our trip was taken at the suggestion of our ‘cousin’ Jomariewho lives and works with us, so that we could visit his youngestbrother Bong and his ‘adoptive family’ in the Pontevedra area. I hadbeen told, very briefly, where we were headed but very little else.
Imagine my complete surprise when we arrived and found ourselvesliterally on an Estate of some 19 or 20 hectares of which 14 or 15hectares were taken up by the Homestead’s fish ponds. The balanceof the property, about 4 or 5 hectares makes up the Home Farmwhich presently consists the raising of some cattle, some horses andsome sheep. They also have a small flock of chickens and about 4 or5 turkeys. The Home Farm is situated on a hillside which overlooksthe entire property.
The place is full or surprises; we were allowed to photograph theplace and share it with you. We hope that you’ll enjoy the visit asmuch as we do showing you around.
