Family and Friends Weekend is the University’s time to celebrate the fall season in New England, honor our rich and spirited history, and enjoy the company of students and their families, faculty and staff, and all members of the extended Lesley Community. Experience off-

campus tours highlighting areas of interest in Boston, take in our campus art galleries highlighting student work, and enjoy our annual Jazz Brunch. We encourage you to bring those who love and support your student to Lesley University the weekend of October 4th. It will surely be a time to remember. for the weekend. If you arrive on campus after 6:00pm please note that

you may pick up your registration materials until 10:00pm at the Student

Center Information Desk.

Derek HughesDerek Hughes is a magician in demand. From being the only magician ever invited to perform at HBO’s prestigious Comedy Arts Festival, to filling in for the legendary Mac King at Harrah’s in Las Vegas, Derek is truly a unique voice in the art of conjuring. His wry sense of humor and mind-blowing magic have made him one of the most sought after entertainers on college campuses across the county.

Fenway Park Tour

This fun and informative tour provides fans and visitors with a behind-the-scenes look at America’s most beloved ballpark. Previous registration is required. A group will depart by bus from the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Mellen Street. If you’ll be getting to the park on your own, please meet at the Souvenir Shop on Yawkey Way by 10:15am.

LUCAD Gallery Showing: The heavens, earth, stars and mountains reveal life’s cycles of cultivation and recovery in “Ametsuchi”. Installation and video exhibition by Japanese artist Rinko Kawauchi

Rinko Kawauchi was born in Shiga, Japan, in 1972 and began her career as an artist by publishing her work in her own photography books and has 17 publications to date. She has received the prestigious “Kimura Ihei Award” for two of her books and most recently published “Light and Shadow” and “Ametsuchi.” Kawauchi, who has gained international recognition for her nuanced, lushly colored images that offer closely observed fragments of everyday life, shifts her attention from the micro to the macro in “Ametsuchi.” “Ametsuchi: An installation and video by Rinko Kawauchi” is free and open to the public.

Join the Lesley University Dance Team, The Lesley Performing Arts Club and Lesley’s a cappella group Harmogeddon in Marran Theatre for a night of fun and excitement. The Dance Team will be choreographing some amazing numbers, LPAC will be showing off one of their one-act plays, and Harmogeddon will sing their rendition of music’s most popular songs.

Enjoy a leisurely brunch, complete with carving station and omelet bar, while listening to the relaxing sounds of Miss Tess and the Bon Ton Parade. Please check your ticket for your seating time. Families, who have not picked up a previously purchased brunch ticket, can do so at the door. Resident Students should bring their ID with them in order to swipe.
