Message From
Dean Mays
On behalf of Lesley University, we invite you to join our campus community for this special annual weekend. Family and Friends Weekend is the University’s time to celebrate the fall season in New England, honor our rich and spirited history, and enjoy the company of students and their families, faculty and staff, and all members of the extended Lesley Community. Experience off-campus
tours highlighting areas of interest in Boston, take in our campus art galleries highlighting student work, and enjoy our annual Jazz Brunch. We encourage you to bring those who love and support your student to Lesley University the weekend of October 4th. It will surely be a time to remember. We look forward to reconnecting with many of you then.
Welcome Families and Friends to the Lesley University Community

AIB Gallery Showing: Beyond the Wunderkammer – with artists Lasse Antonsen, Mark Dion, Jesseca Ferguson, Stephen Hollinger, Lee Kennedym Rosamund Wolff Purcell, and others…
The wunderkammer, or cabinet of curiosities, has a long history as a collection of objects arranged in categories imposed by the collector, sometimes comprised of specimens from natural history, other times works of art, and at others an assortment of fabricated objects to fool or astonish. The cabinets origin lies in the 15th century Renaissance when scientists, scholars, monarchs, and aristocrats began to organize collections based on scholarship, status, and a love for the exotic and bizarre.
Curator of the exhibit, AIB faculty member Bonnell Robinson, will be giving a presentation in the gallery beginning at 1:15pm.

All the WayStaring Bryan Cranston
1963. An assassin’s bullet catapults Lyndon B. Johnson into the presidency. A Shakespearean figure of towering ambition and appetite, this charismatic, conflicted Texan hurls himself into the Civil Rights Act, a tinderbox issue emblematic of a divided America. In the Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright’s vivid dramatization of LBJ’s first year in office, means versus ends plays out on the precipice of modern America. The A.R.T.’s new production stars Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”) as LBJ, Brandon J. Dirden (The Piano Lesson) as Martin Luther King, Jr., Michael McKean (A Mighty Wind) as J. Edgar Hoover, and Reed Birney (“House of Cards”) as Hubert Humphrey.
