2. Introduction: Adjective 1.(of a person) Not confident or assured; uncertain or anxious. 2.(of a thing) Not firm or set; unsafe. insecure /insikyoor/ 3. Why? Insecure with their Physical Appearance. Insecure with their capabilities. Insecure about their social status, wealth and career. Insecure in losing power. 4. I hate myself for being so insecure. Im always comparing myself to my friends family, and even strangers. Why cant I have flawless skin like her? Why cant I be as toned? Why cant I have gorgeous hair like that? Why this, why that. It brings me down every day. People notice better looking people more. I constantly have to do something to stand out from the rest because of my insecurities create the need to having to compete even over simple things. 5. To be insecure is to lack confidence or trust, whether in ourselves or someone else. There are many causes of insecurity, but chief among them is our failure to fully trust God (Jeremiah 17:7-8). As believers, we have this assurance: And those who know Your name put their trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You (Psalm 9:10). In Satans arsenal, one of his biggest weapons is doubt. Satan loves for us to question who we are and how we measure up to others (Ephesians 2:1-2;Ephesians 6:12;1 Samuel 16:7). He wants us to feel insecure over the meaning and purpose of our lives, where were going, and how well get there. Insecure about what can you do? 6. Another cause of feelings of insecurity is reliance on wealth and possessions instead of God. The world encourages us to strive to be number one and promotes the adage he with the most toys wins. If we dont have the latest iPhone, fastest car, biggest house, or largest paycheck, we are failures. Yet the Bible teaches us not to set our hopes on earthly riches but on God: As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). Riches, being uncertain, will certainly bring insecurity to those who trust in them. Insecure about your status, wealth and career. 7. 1. Criminalize libel because they do not want to be criticized. 2. Passed FCD law because they want to hide their stolen dollars. 3. Refused to pass FOI because they are afraid everyone would be exposing their dirty deals, projects and pocketing of pork. 4. Passed cybercrime law because they dont want to be attacked on Facebook and Twitter. 5. New medical parole bill because they wanted to kept from prison at all. 6. Refused to pass anti dynasty law because they are insecure from losing political power. 7. They are surrounded by bodyguards when nobody threatens them unless they are abusive and offensive. Insecure of losing POWER. 8. Look at yourself 9. Actions: Accept who you are. Be PROUD! Gain confidence. TALK and dont hide. HE will LISTEN. Be Prepared. Be HAPPY! TRUST GOD. 10. Conclusions: True security comes when you recognize that God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). When struggling with feelings of insecurity, never forget Gods promise: You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. (Isaiah 26:3). 11.
