From the beaches to the bays and beyond (no more then 30 miles mind you) on Saturday November 5th King Fisherman of all skill level, boat size, make & model will head out in the 18th Annual Fall King of the Beach presented by Legendary Marine - Contender of Tampa Bay. One of the largest events of its kind in the country, approximately 300 teams will leave port searching for that Fish. That one fish that will reign supreme and as for that one lucky team, they will be crowned the next King. Will it be you...

The King of the Beach has become much more then just a tournament due to the commitment of the Old Salt Board of Directors, past and present. Our countless volunteers, sponsors, partnership with the great City of Madeira Beach and you the angler. This event has grown year after year in spite of all the things that we have faced as a community. The KOTB, as we refer to it as, is a 3-day community event which includes the Mad Beach Food Fest featuring twelve favorite local restaurants, live music and a Captains Party and Weigh In like no other! The tournament includes an overall division typically paying out 25 places, a ladies division, youth division, single outboard engine division and recently added a Spanish Mackerel division. This family friendly event is truly for all anglers, angling types and methods. And yes the rumors are true we’ve had 4 kayaks fish in the Spring tournament!
