12, 13, 14 “HEATHERS” THE MUSICAL Written by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy • Directed by Chris Cannon Heathers: The Musical is a rock musical based on the 1988 cult film Heathers. After a sold-out Los Angeles tryout, the show had an Off- Broadway run in 2014. The show, while a comedy, deals with issues of teen suicide, murder, bullying, homophobia, and gun violence. Through a series of interviews with locals and their own experiences, they come to discover something dark and evil residing in the theatre. Though the team has had many dealings with the paranormal before, this situation may prove more than they can handle. A death-bound love triangle fuels these passions to a fever pitch and propels the story to an unstoppable tragic conclusion.
