MISSIOn STaTEMEnT
The mission of Midland Fair Havens is to equip single mothers and their children for self-sufficientliving by addressing their educational, vocational, spiritual and emotional needs in residential and non-residential settings.
Mothers Life Skills classes include Bible Study and lessons on
parenting, financial management, health and nutrition, home and time
management, boundaries, and job readiness. Each mother is also
attending college or a vocational school and working towards becoming
independent and self-sufficient. Weekly they meet with our Program
Staff to account for goals and for counsel. God is faithful and miracles
are witnessed daily!
This summer the children at Midland Fair Havens had the opportunity to
put into practice some of the Character Traits they learned in our Junior
Life Skills Classes. Each week they prepared snacks to deliver to the
children participating in the tutoring program at Casa de Amigos. This
gave them a chance to practice sharing, working together, thoughtfulness
as well as math as they worked on doubling recipes!
Life Skills Classes at Midland Fair Havens
prepare both mothers and their children for a brighter future,
as they become healthy and self supportive families and individuals.

If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lackingin daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go inpeace, be warmed and filled,” without giving themthe things needed for the body, what good is that?
