The pieces often address contem-porary themes in response to the site of installation.
Fakeshop
produces media installations of a minimalist bent, with attention to situational architectures and architectural situations.
Incorporating live camera, web broadcasting, and performance, the pieces include streaming, co-location & the social web.
Observation and voyeurism are a continuing thread in the work, with CCTV systems, chatrooms, and webcams recurring in various iterations.
For Display Only (2008), set in an abandoned Beijing factory, included an assemblage of beauty salon barberpoles (synonymous with prostitution in china) repurposed as stage prop for a cycle of performances during the exhibition.
