WORSHIP AT FAITH This morning we continue in the Gospel of John. In John 21:1-14, after the

resurrection, as Jesus meets the disciples while fishing we see His great expectations for them and us and something great we can expect in return.

Also this morning, new elders and deacons will be installed for their term of office: Ken Folkerts, Bob Loerop, Tim Huiner, Chuck Slinkman, and Ken Rusthoven for elder and Matt Huizinga, Scott Boonstra, Bill Hoving, Matt Sowers for deacon.

This evening we’ll continue our Pentecost and the Pentateuch series by reading Numbers 11 and seeing how the people of God, God’s presence, and the power of prophecy come together there.

Next week Sunday morning we look forward to celebrating the Lord’s Supper. Tonight in worship we will spend some time preparing for this celebration.

OFFERINGS Today: AM: Timothy Christian School. Faith Promise Missionaries. PM: Love, Inc. June 8: AM: Faith Benevolent Fund. PM: Life on Wheels. June 15: AM: Crossroad Bible Institute. PM: Lampstand Ministries. June 22: AM: Timothy Tuition Assistance Fund. PM: Faith Benevolent Fund. June 29: AM: All God’s Children. PM: Elmhurst Walk-in Ministry.

PRAYER & PRAISE Ashley Biesboer & Wes Davis were married on May 17, in Colorado.

Their address is PO Box 741, Buena Vista, CO 81211. Thank you to the congregation for all the love and support shown to Ashley. It's a blessing to see the promise made at baptism by the congregation carried out in our children's lives.

Eleanore Gorter started chemo treatments again last week following some new test results. She’s very fatigued again, but glad to be re-starting treatment.

Dick Huisman continues to struggle with mobility and speech concerns. Tom Tazelaar had a CT scan early last week that showed that chemo has

been effective in shrinking the tumor, so he had a third round of treatments this week. Give thanks for good results for Tom and pray for continued health and improvement.

Dan Teune is at Burgess Square in Westmont doing rehab to regain his strength.

Remember to pray for those who are unable to join us in worship. Today we think of Ralph & Georgia Van Kampen who live in Park Place.

Please pray for Youth Director transitions at Faith CRC. Bryce’s last Sunday with us will be June 29. Council continues a search for a new Director of Youth Ministries. Applications and inquiries may be sent to [email protected].

“Hello, Church Family. My squad and I are just finishing up our three months in Europe. During this time it was evident that my teams have been surrounded in prayer. We have witnessed the very things we have been asking you to pray for come to fruition. One of my favorite examples of this was that the students who came to our café in Estonia had the term ‘Christian’ redefined from ‘people who hurt them’ to ‘people who know the true source of love and relationship.’ Our next month will be spent in China, where I will not be able to disclose all of our ministry details to protect the people we are working with. We will be leading an afterschool program for children. Please join us in praying for ways to present the Gospel through our actions as it is illegal to witness to children under the age of 18 in this area. Thank you all!” Brittany Vander Naald

ANNOUNCEMENTS Register your kids for VBS on Faith’s website. VBS will be happening on

June 9-12 from 9:00 - 11:30 AM and is open to kids age 3 to 5th grade. VBS Volunteers are needed. We are currently looking for people who will

It’s time for Summer Park Play-dates! Put these dates down in your calendar and come join us at the park! Friday, June 6, Thursday, June 26, Thursday, July 10, Friday, July 25, Friday, August 1, and Thursday, August 14. We will meet at the playground by the pond at Eldridge Park in Elmhurst on the corner of Butterfield and Commonwealth from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM (feel free to come earlier or stay later). Bring coffee and a lawn chair for yourself, and lunch for you and your kids if you want. Invite friends to come along – it’s open and casual – just a time to connect with other mom-friends and let the kids play. For those with older kids, there is a basketball court there too – they can bring balls, bikes, skates, etc. if they want to. If it’s raining, we will cancel. Last year we had remarkably nice weather every time, so we’re praying that we do this summer as well. Looking forward to connecting with many of you over the summer months! Any questions, call Sarah Schuringa.
