NEWS from The Pantry

Your wonderful response to the Souper Bowl of Caring has helped immensely to re-stock our shelves. Many thanks to you all, and to the great group of volunteers who help with the pantry each month. Without you we could not carry on this important ministry.

We have 37 families with appointments for March. Our food focus will be rice, peanut butter, and canned meat. Please keep our food pantry patrons in your prayers. Thank you for your continued support.

Next Set-up, Friday, March 15th: 2:00 – 4:00

UMW NEWS March 2020

As Time Marches on the United Methodist Women take Action! The first reorganized Morning Fellowship meeting was held Tues., Feb. 18 with 13 women in attendance. Plans were made for programs, devotions and, of course, refreshments. A schedule of meetings is listed below.

We ‘thank you’ for your support of our February Project “A Heart for Missions”. Items collected will be delivered by March 1 to Leslie’s House in High Point, a refuge for 22 women who need shelter, support and our prayers.

A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial is our March focus. An excerpt from Jan./Feb. Response magazine explains…..

“Women, children and youth across the world have felt the love of God through A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial funds that have been given by countless women gathered in cir-cles of care. As United Methodist Women, we bow to meet God in prayer and then rise to give of ourselves so that God’s vision of an abundant and beloved community for all can be realized.”

Please join us at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19 in the Fellowship Hall as

‘We Rise: Meeting God’s Call to Transform Communities.’

A very special guest speaker will tell us about her work in the community. You most likely will know her since she grew in her faith here in the Fairfield Family.
