Panda, Secretary Textiles, Mrs. Vimla Batham, MLA from Noida Mr.Rama Raman, Chairman, GNIDA, Shri Alok Kumar, Development Commissioner (Handloom/Handicrafts), Mr. D. Kumar, Chairman, EPCH, members of the trade, Ministry Officials, overseas buyers, journalists, participants, press & media. Hon'ble Minister of State for Textiles (IC), Govt. of India, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar in his inaugural address said that our textiles & handicrafts sector have achieved a significant position today, attracting buyers from all parts of the world. Our products are unique & our signature crafts find no parallel in the world. HMOST congratulated EPCH for successfully conducting IHGF fair by expanding display area & bringing in more exhibitors as well as products under IHGF banner. Dr. S.K. Panda Secretary Textiles, in his address congratulated EPCH for creating additional halls in record time to accommodate more exhibitors. Secretary also congratulated the industry for its commendable growth of 17-18% annually & urged the exporters to work towards “inclusive growth” involving all segments of the value chair so that livelihood of the artisans who are backbone of the sector can be improved. According to EPCH more than 2750 exhibitors have displayed their products in 15 segment halls across 1,90,000 sqm including 456 new exhibitors.
